Talk show host Bill Maher has challenged Democrat Party politician Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to appear on his show.

The primary reason why Bill decided to do this was that he was angry at the direction the Democrat Party was heading. According to predictions, the Democrat party is on course to lose their majority in line with the midterm elections in 2022.
And as a way to get his point across, Bill endorsed political consultant James Carville’s views that the Democrats lost in Virginia due to ‘stupid wokeness.’
The Democrat candidate Terry McAuliffe looked on course for victory until numerous last-minute polls saw Republican Glenn Youngkin win.
But that criticism did not go down well with Alexandria. In fact, her following comments only seemed to have alienated the voters.
In a post to her fans on Twitter, Alexandria replied with the following comments: “Like the average audience for people seriously using the word ’woke’ in a 2021 political discussion are James Carville and Fox News pundits, so that should tell you all you need to know.”
Bill did not take those comments lightly, and he made sure that his views were fully heard. He urged the party to step out of their comfort zones and engage in dialogue with people across the political spectrum in order to appeal to the electorate.
He blasted Alexandria by claiming that ‘woke’ was a term that was championed by her own party. But given that it was being used in a context against them, it has suddenly now become a source of controversy.
In his reply, Bill stated: “What word would you like us to use for the plainly insane excesses of the left? And that’s my last bit of advice to them.
“Go where the ‘amen corner’ isn’t. Do Fox News. Be brave. Come here. Go everywhere. Winning is about expanding the electorate.”
Alexandria has not yet responded to Bill’s challenge, but given the way the Democrats are heading, it is probably wise that she takes up his offer. After all, something needs to be done to ensure that the party is performing better than it is now.
