It’s time to catch up with the results and rankings of the two NJPW tournaments that are currently running. World Tag League has one show to look at, while Best of The Super Juniors has two! Let’s waste no time, and take a look at who is picking up the wins.

Tetsuya Naito & SANADA Lead World Tag League Going Into Night Five

Starting with World Tag League Day Four – action started off with YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto making quick work of Tiger Mask & Yuji Nagata. Nagata & Tiger have yet to claim a win, and could end the tournament at 0 points if they don’t pick up the pace. Next up, House of Torture would claim a much needed win over the legendary duo of TenKoji – the only veteran team who has claimed a win so far in the tournament.

Great Bash Heel looked to get on the same level of TenKoji, but were dropped by Bad Luck Fale & Chase Owens with some ease. BULLET CLUB grabbed a perfect sweep with Guerillas of Destiny claiming the win over Minoru Suzuki & TAKA Michinoku. Suzuki-Gun was having a tough night, as reigning IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Dangerous Tekkers fell to United Empire members Aaron Henare & Great-O-Khan, which could get the duo a tag team title shot.

Finally in the main event, Tetsuya Naito & SANADA maintained their perfect record with a win over Hiroshi Tanahashi & Toru Yano. The rankings after this show for World Tag League are as follows.

    World Tag League Rankings

    Tetsuya Naito & SANADA – 8 Points

Fale & Owens, Hiroshi Tanahashi & Toru Yano, Goto & YOSHI-HASHI, United Empire, Guerrillas Of Destiny, Dangerous Tekkers – 6 Points

TenKoji, House of Torture – 2 Points

Yuji Nagata & Tiger Mask, Great Bash Heel, Minoru Suzuki & TAKA Michinoku – 0 Points

SHO Rules Best Of The Super Juniors

Best of The Super Juniors Night Five would start with Master Wato getting a win over veteran Ryusuke Taguchi. YOH would finally get a win when he met CHAOS stablemate Robbie Eagles, when he blocked the Ron Miller Special into a flash pinfall. SHO would drop his first match after the veteran Yoshinobu Kanemaru caught him with the Samson Clutch.

El Desperado would force his friend DOUKI to verbally submit in Numero Dos. El Phantasmo rolled up Taiji Ishimori for the win. The big main event was Hiromu Takahashi taking on longtime partner BUSHI – with Takahashi bringing out the best in his with a fast paced match, before claiming the win with Time Bomb II.

Taguchi would redeem his loss to Wato on the next night, taking out Kanemaru with a Dodon and roll up combo. SHO would submit DOUKI to get back to his winning ways. YOH would drop Master Wato for yet another win in the tournament. BUSHI took out El Phantasmo with MX. El Phantasmo dropped Robbie Eagles once again, this time with El Es Clero, putting him 2-1 in singles matches over Eagles in 2021. In the main event, Ishimori would submit Takahashi with Bone Lock for the win.

Best Of The Super Junior Rankings

    SHO – 10 Points

Taiji Ishomori, Yoshinobu Kanemaru – 8 Points

El Desperado, Hiromu Takahashi – 7 Points

Ryusuke Taguchi, BUSHI – 6 Points

El Phantasmo, YOH, Master Wato, Robbie Eagles, DOUKI, BUSHI, Taiji Ishimori, Hiromu Takahashi, Yoshinobu Kanemaru – 4 Points
