Alcohol Company Is 'Disheartened' After Their 'Rittenhouse Rye' Was Being Used To Celebrate Kyle Rittenhouse's Acquittal

The alcohol company ‘Heaven Hill Brands’ has responded to claims that people have begun to buy their ‘Rittenhouse Rye’ in order to celebrate Kyle Rittenhouse’s acquittal.

Alcohol Company Is ‘Disheartened’ After Their ‘Rittenhouse Rye’ Was Being Used To Celebrate Kyle Rittenhouse’s Acquittal

Kyle, for his part, was declared not guilty even though his actions of firing a gun at a protest held in response to the police shooting of Jacob White ended up killing two people and injuring another.

Given that this verdict was seen as a victory for people, who believed that Kyle’s actions were done as a result of self-defence, they naturally wanted to celebrate the decision. But in doing so, they have associated the ‘Rittenhouse Rye’ with Kyle himself.

This has not gone down well. In a Twitter post here, we can see a picture of the actual beverage with a user commenting on how people have begun to buy this drink to marvel at the verdict.

The post was captioned by the following comments: “In a depressingly predictable development following Kyle Rittenhouse’s acquittal last month, sickos began buying up a bunch of @RittenhouseRye… to celebrate.”

This raised a strong emotional response which forced the company to come out and address this issue. As such, ‘Heaven Hill Brands’ wanted to disassociate themselves by stating that they do not have any affiliation to the claims that were being made.

After all, the last thing they want to do is stoke up further divisions in a divided country. In an official statement in response, the company said: “We have been disheartened to learn that some individuals and businesses have been using our Rittenhouse Straight Rye Whiskey brand to celebrate the Kyle Rittenhouse case verdict.”

Supporters of Kyle, however, were not pleased with that. They felt that the company should not have a say over what their customers do, when they have clearly paid for the product. But by doing so, the company has ended up losing such customers.

One person wrote: “The triumph of justice over the demands of the mob will always be worth celebrating. But, you’re right, we don’t need to celebrate with your product. Carry on.”
