Actor David Koechner has reportedly been arrested on the grounds of allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol. After David’s drunk-driving arrest he was subject to ridicule on social media.

It is no surprise that the New Year celebrations led to people having a good time, but for David Koechner, it looks as though his alcohol levels allegedly exceeded the legal driving limit.
According to reports, his drinking was not the only problem. It turns out that he was also apparently involved in a hit and run. As such, David was taken to Ventura County Jail.
A source told TMZ the following: “Police got a call for an erratic driver, which a patrolling officer located — only to find David behind the wheel.
“We’re told he was given field sobriety tests, which he didn’t do well on … and got hauled in for drunk driving and allegedly hitting a street sign with his car.”
Nevertheless, it is important to bear in mind the following factors. First of all, David has allegedly been released. Therefore, this would seem to indicate that there were no serious injuries sustained as a result of the incident.
The only thing that he ended up hitting was a street sign. Secondly, his case still has some way to go as a court date has been set at some time in March, 2022. With that in mind, he could face further repercussions.
The response on social media was one of ridicule. A large number of memes began to develop in light of the fact that David was trying to enjoy himself on New Year, which ended up resulting in more harm than good.
In one post as shown here, a meme was shared of a group of people drinking to their heart’s content. Thankfully for David, though, this was not as serious as it could have been.
Although his vehicle has been towed away, the most likely punishment that he can expect to receive is some form of driving rehabilitation.
With that in mind, David Koechner should consider carefully before he decides to get behind the wheel at some point in the future. After all, on another given day, there could have been a serious injury to anyone.
