Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene has reportedly had her Twitter account suspended on the grounds that she had allegedly been spreading Covid-19 misinformation.

Reports indicate that Marjorie Taylor Greene had shared posts stating that deaths as a result of vaccines were being taken more seriously prior to Covid-19 after which they have largely been ignored.
Naturally, that did not go down well with Twitter, who felt that she was perpetuating misleading information. As a consequence, her account was suspended.
In an official statement by Twitter, a representative said: “We permanently suspended the account you referenced (@mtgreenee) for repeated violations of our COVID-19 misinformation policy.
“We’ve been clear that…we will permanently suspend accounts for repeated violations of the policy.” In response, Marjorie was not going to be having any of that.
And she made sure that her supporters knew exactly how she felt about it all. And she told them in no uncertain terms that the United States was overstepping the mark when it came to preventing liberty.
In an official statement, she remarked: “Twitter is an enemy to America and can’t handle the truth,” Greene said in a statement responding to the suspension.
“They can’t successfully complete a Communist revolution when people tell the truth.” The response on social media was mixed.
Margorie Taylor Greene supporters felt that she should not have been suspended just because she had a different point of view to the mainstream media.
On the other hand, her detractors welcomed the news. So much so that they felt this was the perfect way of marking an end to a very difficult year for the whole world.
One person on Twitter wrote: “Happy Sunday to everyone who is glad that Twitter has PERMANENTLY suspended the account of Marjorie Taylor Greene for repeatedly spreading covid misinformation.
“Nice start to the New Year.” Time will tell whether Marjorie faces any further pushback as a result of her comments, but in the meantime, it is clear that she is not going to stand down in the face of major scrutiny.
