Comedian, actor, and iconic TV dad Bob Saget was found dead at the age of 65, earlier today. Saget was known for playing Danny Tanner on the late-1980s family sitcom Full House, America’s Funniest Home Videos, and for his style of blue comedy that juxtaposed his family-friendly character on the sitcom.
Saget’s death comes a little over a week after the passing of another famed comedian and TV star of the 80s, Betty White.
Bob Saget Gone at 65
According to TMZ, Bob Saget was found in his room at the Orlando Ritz-Carlton at 4 PM by hotel security late this afternoon. Medics are said to have pronounced him dead at the scene and at the moment, no cause of death has been established. Earlier that morning, at around 3:45 AM, he had tweeted about his set in Jacksonville and how well it went. At the time he was back on the road as part of a tour and enjoying himself, going two hours.

While no cause of death was declared, it’s been confirmed that there was no foul play or drugs in his room.
A Lengthy Career in Entertainment
Most of us will know him as a co-star of Full House between 1987 and 1995 and the host of America’s Funniest Home Videos between 1989 and 1997. Bob Saget would make some appearances on the HBO show Entourage but his bigger role of the 2000s would be as the voice/narrator of an older Ted Mosby from CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother. Saget would make a return to the Tanner house in 2016 for Netflix’s Full House spin-off Fuller House where he reprised his character for five seasons.
Bob Saget is survived by his wife Kelly Rizzo and three daughters: Aubrey, Lara, and Jennifer.
