Chris Daughtry’s stepdaughter Hannah Price’s death has now been confirmed as a case of suicide.

In the immediate aftermath of her death, conflicting reports emerged as to whether or not there was any foul play involved. And things did not get any easier in that regard, when the authorities had initially arrested none other than Hannah’s boyfriend.

Although this turned out to be part of a routine procedure, the very fact of the matter is that speculation was emerging as to the likelihood of him being guilty.

Just when you thought that was bad enough, Hannah’s mother Deanna had to come out and clear up any misunderstandings that had emerged by denying that it was a homicide.

In a statement at the time, she said: “The news floating around that we said our daughter’s death is being investigated as a homicide is false! We were not told that and never said that to anyone!”

Now that the family have come out and confirmed that Hannah did take her own life, it has left them in a bit of a difficult position for the following reasons.

First of all, while it is a relief that a police investigation will not be needed in order to track down a killer, it has equally left the family feeling uneasy as they recognise that she was not happy prior to her death.

Secondly, in any event, there will always be suggestions that the family could have done more in order to prevent such a tragedy from happening.

And yet, for the family, they understood that they did everything in their power to make sure that Hannah was fine. It was no secret that she had been suffering from mental health issues, coupled with the fact that she did engage in drugs.

In a statement in response, the family remarked: “We did everything we could to support her and get her the help she needed to recover from these tragedies and get her life back on track.”

Let us hope that with time, the family is able to overcome this. And the fans will be there every step of the way to make sure that they are fine.
