WWE Smackdown Results returned in time for another episode of Sami Zayn’s In-Zayne.

Zayn explained his segment is now a podcast after Johnny Knoxville almost put him in the hospital last week, the introduced Jinder Mahal and Veer as his guests.

Zayn cut Mahal off to ramble on about Knoxville and stooping to his level.

Eventually he let Mahal talk, and while he was getting into a promo about Shinuke Nakamura, and Zayn interrupted him to go on about Knoxville.

When he found out that Jackass was popular in India and they love the show, Zayn went into his derogatory spiel and the fans booed away until Rick Boogs interrupted the show and introduced Nakamura.

Zayn shouted at Nakamura and ate a kick that sent him to the floor.

The match started during the commercial break as Boogs slammed Mahal and Zayn joined the commentary team where he called Pat McAfee a partisan hack.

Shanky hammered on Boogs, but Boogs fought out of their corners and hit a vertical suplex on Shanky.

Boogs went for a tag and Zayn pulled Nakamura off the apron while the ref was distracted and Boogs hulked up while Mahal hammered on him.

Boogs hit Shanky with two shoulderblocks and a clothesline to finally drop him, then hit a Boogs Cruise for the win.

The New Day (Big E, Kofi Kingston) vs. Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss

Big E and Moss started it off, and Moss hit a shoulderblock, then ran into an elbow for a pin attempt by Big E.

Kofi hit a leg drop over Big E’s back for another pin attempt, and Happy Corbin blind tagged in and hammered away on Kofi.

Kofi fought back and dropped Corbin and then Moss with dropkicks before he jumped into the waiting arms on the floor and they threw him face first into the ring post as we headed to commercial.

Big E hit a pair of belly to belly suplexes on Corbin, but Corbin thwarts his third attempt but Big E hit a splash but Corbin avoided their double team.

Big E threw Corbin into the ring steps, the hoisted Moss for Kingston to hit the Midnight Hour for the win. This felt way too fast and rushed, but was still a good match.

    Face to face

Roman Reigns came to the ring and was followed by Seth Rollins for their face to face prior to their Rumble match.

With both of them in the ring, Reigns demanded Kansas City acknowledge him and they did and Rollins mocked him for thinking he’s Patrick Malhomes, and admitted he played him like a fiddle last week.

Reigns said it was a shame for his family to be pinned, and Rollins told him he’s about to bring the ultimate shame to his family.

Reigns claimed he’s living in the past, and Rollins told him he’s not living in the past but for tomorrow and listed his wins against Reigns.

    — WWE (@WWE) January 29, 2022

He then reminded Reigns about the chair incident, and said he did it to Reigns’ own good. Rollins pointed out Reigns has beaten them all except beat him when it matters most.

Rollins finished by saying he’ll always love Reigns.

Breaking up the Shield still hurts Reigns and he said he tried to forgive Rollins, but he’ll never forgive him for what he did and he hates Rollins.

Rollins went down Reigns’ family line and called them all a joke and laughed in Reigns’ face, which caused Reigns to lose his cool and shover him a couple of times.

Reigns went for a Superman Punch from behind, but Rollins ducked and slipped out of the ring and danced his way up the ramp.

This was a great back and forth, but it feels like they’re trying to turn Reigns face with us feeling sympathy for him, but we doubt it’ll work. In fact, we expect it to backfire like his previous face runs.

What do you think of their exchange? Let us know below and thank you for joining WWE Smackdown Results. We had a blast and can’t wait for next week.

    See you then!
