AEW Revolution continues. Now it’s time for Orange Cassidy to make his singles debut against PAC! He’s introduced as hailing from somewhere, weighing in at whatever, and has some very lackluster pyro. “He’s Gonna Try” chant starts up.
Orange Cassidy vs. PAC
Cassidy has his shirt off, sunglasses still on. “Holy Sh*t” chant as they come face to face at the bell. Cassidy wants the hands in the pockets but PAC blocks it. So Cassidy turns it into a highly technical exchange, arm drag! PAC is shocked! Hands in the pockets! “This Is Awesome” chant already. Teeny little leg kicks to gigantic reactions, PAC mockingly responds! Eventually PAC shoves him to the mat. Pulls him back up but Cassidy gets him with a dropkick, kip up with the hands still in the pockets! Keeps them in for a flying hip toss, casadora for a 2 count, PAC bails from the ring! Cassidy hits the ropes, but the Bastard rushes into the ring to reverse it with a Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker! Big heat!
Running stomp to the midsection, dumps him to the floor! “Bastard” chant as he throws him into the barricade! “Freshly Squeezed” chant as PAC drags him across ringside, throws him right into the post! Throws him into the ring. Yells at the crowd, got big heat tonight. Scoop Slam, PAC slowly scales the top rope. Wicked missile dropkick! Mocking kick to the face. “Freshly Squeezed” kicks up louder, PAC with kicks to the face, thrust kick caps it off! Destructive Sit-Out Powerbomb for a nearfall!
PAC hooks him for a suplex. “No Pulp” chant mocking the Bastard. Takes him up to the top rope, pursues, hooks… Superplex nailed! Covers, but PAC hoists him from the mat and cackles as the crowd gives him the business! Drags him to the corner, Bastard going up top for the Black Arrow now. Cassidy very slowly rolls to avoid it to a big pop, escapes to the floor. “Holy Sh*t” chant again. Cassidy has an awesome gig. Throws him back into the ring and up again, another roll! “This Is Wrestling” chant as Bastard throws him into the ring and he just keeps on rolling! PAC whirls around the ring to face him and Cassidy just smiles! Rolls the other way! Bastard mocks the crowd for enjoying it so much, CASSIDY SURPRISES HIM WITH A SUDDEN SUICIDE DIVE!
Tosses him into the ring, crossbody off the top! Tilt-A-Whirl DDT nailed flush for a nearfall! Bastard cuts off his comeback with a brutal lariat! “Match of the Year” chant as Bastard pulls him to his feet. Cassidy with baby chops to zero effect. Forearm takes him to the mat. Cassidy with the hands to the pockets! Ducks a clothesline, Superman Punch!!! Crowd is apoplectic! Cassidy hooks him for a suplex, PAC tries to reverse – STUNDOG MILLIONAIRE FROM CASSIDY! “Freshly Squeezed” as Cassidy goes up top but Bastard crotches him!
Hooks him and hoists him onto his shoulders for an Avalanche Tombstone! Cassidy counters in mid-air with a flying DDT! Off the middle rope for a Diving DDT!! But Pac rolls out to the ramp for big heat! Chuck distracts the ref as Trent throws Bastard back into the ring! Cassidy gets him with a Vertibreaker style manuever for a clooose nearfall! Now out come the Lucha Bros?! They attack the Best Friends! They brawl up the ramp and Cassidy is distracted. PAC gets him with an arm wrench into the Brutalizer and Cassidy has to tap!
Winners: PAC
That was absolutely incredible and I don’t care what anybody thinks. Orange Cassidy is love, Orange Cassidy is life. And man what a perfect fit for this whole thing PAC really was. Just so damn fun.
