AEW Dynamite rolls on tonight, Jake Hager here for his Dynamite in-ring debut against QT Marshall!
Jake Hager vs. QT Marshall
Hager gets QT with a waistlock takedown and talks trash. Bullies him into the corner. QT punches his way out, goes for a springboard but Hager just headbutts him out of the air! “Jericho’s Bitch” chant as he plants Marshall with a Belly To Belly! Chant gets louder! Running Powerslam bounces QT off the corner before ramming him down! “QT” chant even as the underdog looks totally done already. But he does try and fight back with shots, only to have no effect. Running knee to the gut brings him to the mat!
Wants the Vader Bomb but QT gets the boots up! Boots up again on the charge, Marshall with some big uppercuts! Whip reversed, QT with a Handspring Enziguri! Evades him in the corner, Hager hits hard! Marshall up top, Mariposa but Hager kicks out at one! QT hooks him, goes up top, tries for a Swinging DDT but Hager throws him away! Hits the ropes twice, giant lariat flips him inside out! And there is the Standing Arm Triangle, chokes him out right quick!

Hager keeps the hold locked in! In comes Dustin Rhodes to pull him off and brawl with him! But the Inner Circle swarms, until Cody Rhodes comes in to make the save! Gets a great snap powerslam in until a chairshot to the back drops him! Now in comes Matt Jackson – Nick being out at the moment – to make yet another save! Superkick takes a chair into Ortiz’s face! But when he hits the ropes, Hager catches him with a massive belly to belly! The Inner Circle get the advantage… Hangman Page now staggers his way out, drunken as hell! “Cowboy Sh*t” as the crowd reacts big but he is showing zero urgency.
He steps into the ring and just tells the Inner Circle to cool it. He turns and sets the beer on the corner post, Inner Circle drops their guard… he charges in and attacks for a big pop! Hager gets the advantage, throws him out but Hangman lands on the apron, drunkenly staggering… nevertheless he hits the Buckshot Lariat on Hager! He makes the final save, but then turns and gives Matt Jackson the middle finger before casually making his leave! At ringside, many fans him drinks.
