AEW Dark continues. In our next bout, we have Penelope Ford taking on Riho.
Penelope Ford w/ Kip Sabian vs. Riho
Riho and Ford immediately exchanging forearms. Ford with a kick to the chest puts a stop to that, side headlock, shot off, shoulder block, cover but Riho matrix’es out, charging dropkick! Charging knee strikes in the corner as a chant of “Riho” begins, on an attempted third, Kip Sabian grabs Riho by the shin to stop her! Gets some heat, Ford surprises Riho with a stunner! Mounted punches rained down. Pulls her to the second rope and begins to choke her. Riho kicks Kip away, Ford pulls her into the corner. Hammer whip, handspring back elbow nailed. Delayed vertical suplex for a nearfall.
Forearm exchange begins to the Boo/Yay tune. Riho wins out, hits the ropes, Ford back bridges to avoid a clothesline but instead eats a diving double stomp to the gut! Ford leans against the middle ropes. Riho with the Tiger Feint Kick! Crucifix Bomb for a nearfall! Steps over her gut, to the top rope! Sabian yells at Riho and gets into an argument with her. Ford rushes up the ropes and nails her with a forearm. Riho wins out on a battle up there and shoves her to the mat, diving footstomp for a close nearfall!
Ford gets Riho up onto her shoulders, Ribbreaker for the nearfall! Penelope Ford gets RIho into the corner, mocks Kenny Omega with a finger gun, dashes in for the V-Trigger but Riho avoids it, Ford crashes and burns into the turnbuckle! Northern Lights Suplex, big bridge for a nearfall! Snap Dragon attempt here, Ford dashes into the ropes to put a stop to it. Ford distracts the referee, in comes Kip Sabian! He tries to grab Riho but she reverses into a Snap Dragon Suplex! Big pop! Ford throws the referee into Riho though, Handspring Cutter! Fisherwoman’s Suplex with a bridge, Ford gets the upset win!
Winner: Penelope Ford
Hrm… yeah, I wasn’t willing to predict it but I guess Riho is on the downslope right now. Taz on the replay takes the time to show off how Ford put all of her body weight into the bridge on that pin, tip-toes and all. There’s some noticeable heat there as they really didn’t wanna see her going over, big win for Penelope though!
