I’m a hardcore wrestling fan, by which I mean I’m a hardcore fan of wrestling... but I also have nothing against hardcore wrestling! I’ve been watching since 2006, back when I was 12 years old. In that time I’ve fervently followed WWE, TNA, ROH, Lucha Underground and others. Today I’m most passionate about NXT, New Japan and especially AEW! You could call me a modern wrestling savant but I know my old school stuff as well... I’ll be your huckleberry all night long.

Ladies and gentlemen, whether you realize it or not, we are at the precipice of a three-day weekend of pro wrestling PPVs. Of course WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs 2019 is this Sunday. But that’s not even close to all. The National Wrestling Alliance, which really came out of the woodwork to impress a lot of people in the fall of 2019, are returning to PPV for the first time in April tomorrow night, with their event, Into The Fire. And if that’s not enough, tonight, Ring of Honor is putting on what is nominally their biggest event of the…

Another episode of WWE NXT went down tomorrow, WWE’s underground rebel brand. It included some heated action, perhaps none moreso than the match pitting Mia Yim against Dakota Kai. Dakota’s much talked about heel turn at NXT TakeOver WarGames came largely at the expense of Tegan Nox, but before that on-screen assault, she also took out Mia Yim backstage and forced her out of the match. With Yim back and ready to go this week, she was quick to look for some revenge, facing off with Kai in a one-on-one match. It was a hard fought, competitive back and forth…

Another episode of WWE NXT is in the books, and it was one with some surprising results. None moreso than the match this particular article is based on! Cameron Grimes has made some waves pretty swiftly in recent months, securing some extremely quick, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it victories with his devastating double foot stomp. But he seemed to take issue with the ensuing return of Kushida, and before he could make it back to the ring, he violently assaulted him backstage in an attempt to put him right back on the shelf. Grimes then made his way out for a match with Raul…

Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here and last night was a hectic one for me… but I’m back this morning to finish out the results pages for WWE NXT. There were certainly some big ones to speak of, so let’s get to it. The main event was a colossal triple threat match, pitting two of NXT’s biggest icons in there with the man everyone has pegged as the star of the future. Finn Balor, fresh off his monumental return to NXT and proceeding heel turn. The uncrowned champion finally returning from injury in Tommaso Ciampa. And of course the Limitless…

Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here and another week of the Wednesday Night Wars is in the books – quite literally as a little history was made here tonight in the form of a title change. On WWE NXT, Lio Rush defended the NXT Cruiserweight Championship against Angel Garza, of whom he’s developed quite a rivalry with in recent months. The ending of the match was quite spectacular, as one would expect in such a match. Lio unbelievably found himself going for a Final Hour frog splash on the outside, only for Garza to get the knees up! He threw…

On this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, an announcement was made, one that’s confirmed something that’s been on everyone’s lips for some time to come. Ever since AEW Full Gear last month, the question has been when and where will the next All Elite Wrestling pay-per-view take place? Now, we have an answer to both questions. The show has a name, a date, a venue and even a tie-in… AEW Revolution comes to downtown Chicago on February 29th. The term “AEW Revolution” was trademarked some time ago, and so speculation was quickly kicked up that it may well be the…

Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here finally finishing up my coverage of tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite! Wrapped up an hour and a half ago at the time of writing. The main event this week was for sure a violent and wild one. Bodies were battered and a truly absurd amount of tables were broken. It was out-and-out carnage. And it’s everything that could’ve reasonably been expected. In the end, the Young Bucks defeated Santana & Ortiz on this night. This ties them up 1-1, which will surely lead to a rubber match of some sort somewhere down the road.…

Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here, still not quite done with my results posts for AEW Dynamite! A lot sure can happen in two hours. One of the more off-beat match-ups of the night saw the Jurassic Express’ Luchasaurus take on Sammy Guevara of the Inner Circle. This match of course is occurring in anticipation of Jungleboy taking on the AEW World Champion Chris Jericho next week in a non-title match – the last AEW Dynamite episode of 2019. You can see an excerpt of my recap of the match and what followed below: Hits the ropes, Luchasaurus with a…

Another episode of AEW Dynamite is in the books folks. Plenty of intriguing results came out of it, but perhaps the biggest news of the night was when MJF came out to make his official response to Cody Rhodes, who had offered him the world in exchange for a match with him. This after MJF previously stated he would never wrestle him. Nontheless, Cody told him to name his price. When the time came for an answer, it was, as one would expect, another great promo from one Maxwell Jacob Friedman. He came out to chide his former mentor and…
