I’m a hardcore wrestling fan, by which I mean I’m a hardcore fan of wrestling... but I also have nothing against hardcore wrestling! I’ve been watching since 2006, back when I was 12 years old. In that time I’ve fervently followed WWE, TNA, ROH, Lucha Underground and others. Today I’m most passionate about NXT, New Japan and especially AEW! You could call me a modern wrestling savant but I know my old school stuff as well... I’ll be your huckleberry all night long.

Well here’s some awful news. Arguably the single biggest match for AEW All Out isn’t going to happen now. Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley were set to square off in a massive battle, likely to be on the caliber of an IWGP Heavyweight title match. That’s what I called it in my upcoming preview of the match in fact, which now will have to be rewritten obviously. This is quite the blow. Not only was the biggest match in terms of name value, but it had real potential to be the best match on the show. Jon Moxley is…

Keeping on rolling here with the predictions for AEW All Out! You can see my preview and prediction for the last match here! Today we finish up the Buy In. We’ve got a hot tag match here, get ready for a fast and furious one! Private Party vs. Jack Evans & Angelico Okay, well, my primary prediction here is that this match will rule. Evans & Angelico cranked out many a highlight during Double Or Nothing’s most underappreciated match, a fantastic foray against the Best Friends. Meanwhile Private Party showed out in a big way in a triple threat…

The biggest event yet for the buzzing AEW, All Out is fast approaching. A successor to the AEW blueprint show that was All In last year, AEW All Out heralds the Elite’s return to Chicago. And they aren’t coming alone, far from it! Fyter Fest and Fight For The Fallen were fun stepping stones but this is the real deal, their second foray onto Pay-Per-View after the shocking success of Double Or Nothing. It’s the night they crown their first-ever champion. And presumably, their last event before the promotion’s arrival on TNT in October. The significance of this show cannot…

Back again to recap another episode of AEW Road To All Out. You can find recaps for episodes 3, 4, 5 & 6 by clicking those respective numbers. Lexy Nair opens the episode in the Control Center. She talks up the feud between the Lucha Bros and the Young Bucks, hyping up their upcoming ladder match at All Out. We hear from Matt and Nick Jackson who put over their feud with the Lucha Bros as one of their best ever. They note that usually they have an advantage over every other team due to being brothers and having an…

So recently there’s been a lot of debate and dissension over one of the hallmarks of the AEW product. Namely the idea that it’s meant to be a sports-oriented brand of professional wrestling. Everyone in AEW up to and including Tony Khan himself have espoused this, but I think many have taken this to mean something different than what was intended. I can’t blame anyone for this as I was a bit confused for a time myself. It seemed like a curious task to try and reconcile the outlandishness of BTE and it’s characters with a fully legitimatized product. It…

Back for more predictions on the 2019 WWE King Of The Ring! Last night, I looked at round 1 of this tournament. Nothing too bold thus far, aside from maybe predicting Drew McIntyre beating Ricochet.
