The seventh match of the event and the fourth WTL 2020 match of the card saw the Los Ingobernables de Japon (LIJ) team of reigning NEVER Openweight Champion “The Dragon” Shingo Takagi and Sanada face the Bullet Club tandem of Evil and Yujiro, who were accompanied by “The Spoiler” Dick Togo.

The sixth match of the event and the third BOSJ 27 match saw former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and Los Ingobernables de Japon (LIJ) member Bushi face CHAOS member Sho. 

Los Ingobernables de Japon (LIJ) member Bushi comes into Best of the Super Juniors 27 (BOSJ 27) needing to regain the form he had when he won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship back on September 17, 2016 during Destruction in Tokyo.

The marquee match of the Power Struggle feature event put the 2,834 fans inside of Edion Arena Osaka #1 on the edge of their seat. It would be the fourth singles match (I, II, III) between Los Ingobernables de Japon (LIJ) leader IWGP Heavyweight and IWGP Intercontinental ‘Double Champion’ Tetsuya Naito and Bullet Club member Evil during 2020 since the latter betrayed his former unit.

Through his recent statements, Naito would like to defend each championship separately and not as a unified title as the ‘Double Championship’ has been presented since its inception on January 5, 2020, at Wrestle Kingdom 14.

The marquee main event for New Japan Pro Wrestling’s (NJPW) Summer Struggle in Jingu featured event will see Evil make his V2 defense of the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental ‘Double Championship’ against challenger (and the previous champion) Tetsuya Naito.

Sanada’s best chance to elevate himself may be to challenge solely for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship as a way to avenge his recent New Japan Cup loss to Evil.

During that period he would become the biggest merchandise hit in the company due to his mixture of charisma, unique personality, and consistent callbacks to his inability to find the ultimate success at the Tokyo Dome.
