AEW Dark rolls on… well, for me, anyway. It’s actually already premiered so you may well have seen the whole thing by now! But for those who may not have the time I’m going ahead and posting up all the results as I can! Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here, and the full recap of AEW Dark shall be up within an hour from this being posted at most. In the meantime, I can tell you what went down in the match I just watched…
The Jurassic Express, represented by Marko Stunt and Luchasaurus, faced off with Alex Reynolds and John Silver in a tag team match. The group are considered cult favorites in All Elite Wrestling, but until tonight, they had yet to garner a win as a team. Marko Stunt and Jungleboy were also both winless before today.
Now that’s changed.
You can see an excerpt of my recap of the match below:
Reynolds tags in, Marko gets dropped into a cutter for a nearfall! Reynolds wants a vertical suplex, inside cradle reversal gets 2. Marko tries to kick Reynolds away but he keeps hold of the ankle to prevent the tag. Marko misses an enziguri, wheelbarrow, Marko rolls through, springs forward for the tag to Luchasaurus! House of fire, combo of kicks to Reynolds! Wheelbarrow German Suplex to Silver! Kip up, big pop! Luchasaurus with roundhouse kicks to both men as the crowd chants his name, double goozle, double chokeslam! Saurus holds Silver up, Marko tags in, comes off the top rope with a Flipping Neckbreaker off Luchasaurus’ shoulders for the victory!
Winners: Jurassic Express
Now, Marko Stunt has a record of 1-6, not great but the first win had to come somewhere! And now Jurassic Express have notched a victory as a team, breaking that little curse. Now the pressure’s on for Jungleboy to join his allies in the win column… but uh, he has a slightly more difficult test ahead of him than Alex Reynolds and John Silver, to say the very least. He faces the AEW World Champion Chris Jericho in a non-title match in eight days!
