Ladies and gentlemen it is now 2020, New Year’s Day! But more importantly it’s Wednesday, which means WWE NXT and AEW Dynamite tonight! Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here, to give you the previews for everything All Elite as usual~! It’s a special night of course, AEW Homecoming, and they’ve perhaps stacked tonight’s card more than ever before for the occasion! There’s plenty to talk about, so let’s dive into the previews! As is frequently the case with a wrestling show, it’s not just the matches to look forward to. We have two huge non-wrestling segments announced for tonight in addition to the major matches, and the other of the two is sure to have some big implications.
MJF will be revealing the stipulations that Cody must agree to if he wishes to have a match with him.
Since AEW Full Gear back on November 9th, 2019, we’ve been waiting for the day that Cody Rhodes and his former protege MJF square off. But MJF has made it clear that he truly does not want that match to happen, atleast not under any normal circumstances. Cody responded by making several luxurious offers, including giving him his car, his watch, his shoes and a briefcase full of cash. But MJF refused to bite.

Instead when he made his response, he made it clear that he would face him, but with his own conditions in mind. Unfortunately he declared that this announcement wasn’t fit for a hick town like Dallas, stating that he would instead let his terms be known on the AEW Homecoming show in Jacksonville.
So that of course begs the question… what is he going to ask for? When this was first brought up, I threw out two ideas. He could ask Cody to put his career on the line for a shot at him. Or he could perhaps make a go for his job instead, and have him put his EVP status up for grabs instead. These are still my only real guesses as we go into the show. But we’ll just have to wait and see.
