The 2020 edition of the WWE Royal Rumble is well underway now folks! I’m Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here to give you the live coverage of the show as it occurs! Big time match here as Becky Lynch defends the WWE Raw Women’s Championship against Asuka!
WWE Raw Women’s Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Asuka
Becky hooks her in a front facelock, Asuka fights out of it. Shoot offs and headlocks evaded, dropkick from Becky takes her to the floor! Baseball slide but the challenger blocks this, turns her around, kick to the arm! Asuka wants the hip attack but Becky avoids it, Dis-harm-her in the ropes but has to break it at five! Missile dropkick off the top, cover for a nearfall! Asuka onto the apron, avoids a shoulder thrust, Spinning Neckbreaker across the ropes! Takes her into the ring, Becky fights back, whip takes Asuka to the corner but she leaps to the second rope, surprise flying dropkick for a nearfall!
Challenger chokes Becky in the top rope, trip, Shining Wizard for a nearfall! Whip to the corner, Becky with the elbow up on a charge, boot up, forearm to the face. Asuka rushes back, charge for a Hip Attack but Becky kicks her out of the air! Bulldog! Basement Dropkick for a nearfall! Forearm sends her into the corner. Back body drop takes Becky to the apron, she gets her with a kick to the chest though. Pulls Asuka to the apron, wants a Bexploder! Asuka fighting back, wants a German instead! Becky fighting with everything she has…
FRONT SUPLEX SENDS ASUKA RIGHT TO THE FLOOR!
Becky with a Missile Dropkick off the apron! Bexploder right into the barricade! Throws her into the ring. Second rope legdrop for a nearfall! Uppercuts, Asuka reverses one into a backslide for 2, roundhouse kick ducked, pop-up knee lift to the face of Becky! Asuka wants a German, Becky fights out of it but gets a big combination of strikes! Becky catches her though, hooks for a suplex but it’s reversed, Fisherwoman’s Spinebuster for a nearfall! Fight to the apron… Asuka charges, hip attack takes Becky into the post! Asuka yells in Japanese. Challenger takes Becky to the bottom rope, Becky escapes, springing kick to the head! Asuka prone on the middle rope, Becky goes up there too… hooks her, SUPER URANAGE FOR A NEARFALL!
Becky off the top, Asuka clips her with a Codebreaker, cover but Becky transitions into an attempted Dis-harm-her, Asuka turns it into the Asukalock!! Becky barely grabs the rope to break the hold. German Suplex sends Becky flying! Kawada Kicks! Last one’s a mean one! Becky was laid out there, referee wants to call for the bell but Becky grabs him to stop her! In return, Asuka with several more wicked kicks, roundhouse to the head, cover for a nearfall! I love how that played into the story there, referee trying to protect her! Asukalock attempt, Becky rolls through, Dis-harm-her… Asuka fighting it, reversed into a roll-up, kick-out, Roundhouse Kick ducked, Becky trying for it again! Has to turn it into a Reverse DDT Neckbreaker! Standing 10 count now!
They fight to their feet… exchange of forearms! Spinning backfist barely ducked, Asuka throws Becky into the official! Tries for the spit of the mist but a spinning back kick to the gut forces her to spit it harmlessly into the air! DIS-HARM-HER LOCKED IN! ASUKA HAS TO SUBMIT!

That rocked! And afterwards we see how Asuka’s mist ended up right in her own face!
