Ladies and gentlemen, we’ve got a very unique show on our hands here! WWE Worlds Collide brings us a night long battle for brand supremacy – NXT vs. NXT UK! I’m Jordan Huie of the Overtimer and you can expect the same coverage for tonight as every major show receives! I’ll be giving you the live recap and results from the event as they come! Pre-Show: The kickoff is underway. Kay Lee Ray will be facing off with Mia Yim. In a really great, hard hitting match, Kay Lee Ray got the win. The two of them seemed bound and determined to prove they should not be on the pre-show. They each stole each other’s big moves, with Kay Lee hitting the Protect Ya Neck and Mia nicking the Destroyer. KLR ended up getting the dirty win with a grab of the ropes on a roll-up.
Segment 1: Finn Balor took on Ilja Dragunov in a very special match-up. While nobody in Houston seemed to recognize Ilja, he had to earn a ton of respect in this awesome battle. But to no surprise, Finn took the win.
Segment 2: Angel Garza defended the NXT Cruiserweight Championship in a fatal four way against Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, Travis Banks and Jordan Devlin. As expected, it was mile-a-minute, lightning quick action but surprisingly, Jordan Devlin picked up the win! Apparently he’s bringing the Cruiserweight title to NXT UK!
Segment 3: In a dream tag team match, DIY defeated Moustache Mountain! WWE Worlds Collide 2020 rolls on with one awesome match after another!
Segment 4: In a renewal of a classic rivalry, Toni Storm challenged Rhea Ripley for the NXT Women’s Championship! Ripley seemed to get banged up a bit there early on, but powered through to retain her title.
Segment 5: In the historic main event, two awesome stables came together when the Undisputed Era took on Imperium. Early on in the match, Alexander Wolfe found himself (legit) injured and had to be removed. This made it 4-on-3. But WALTER and co. prevailed all the same to close out the show.
