AEW Dark continues and the natural main event sees Christopher Daniels, on his quest to reveal the the Dark Order’s Exalted One is a fraud, go up against Stu Grayson in a singles match. There are a lot of folks at ringside for this one… before the bell, the ref sends Scorpio Sky, Frankie Kazarian, Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds and John Silver all to the back, a mass ejection! So it’s a true one-on-one match.
Christopher Daniels vs. Stu Grayson
Daniels gets Stu with a big few right hands! But Grayson powers him into the corner, only for Daniels to reverse, chops and jabs! Grayson whips him but eats a shoulder tackle, rolls to the outside and gets some heat for bailing. Grayson comes back in with an elbow but Daniels takes advantage again, leap frog, Grayson bails once more but this time Daniels gets him with a baseball slide! Tosses him right into the barricade! He picks him up and hurls him into another barrier, then back into the ring. Up top, crossbody for a 2 count! Daniels grabs him by the head and slams his face into all four of the top turnbuckle pads. Cover for 2.
Suplex, Grayson escapes, Daniels wants a Destroyer but a back body drop stops that, huge Uranage! Grayson gets him with mounted punches, stops to make the Dark Order pose. Slams him into the corner. Knife edge chops. Snapmare, charging knee strike to the face for a nearfall. Daniels gets him with a backslide for 2, roll-up for another 2, series of jabs laid in. Whip to the opposite ropes, Grayson with a kick to the face of Daniels, cross chop for a nearfall! Daniels wants to fight back, Grayson with a whip, back elbow takes him to the apron. Grayson cackles, “This is fun!” as he hits the tope, smashing him into the apron! Slides into the ring to cover but Grayson’s foot is under the ropes and the ref stops him, he is not happy about it.
Goes up top, wants a stomp, Daniels rolls out of the way, Exploder Suplex into the corner! Side steps him, series of clotheslines, kick on a back body drop attempt, STO! Whip to the ropes, Blue Thunder Bomb for a nearfall! Grayson avoids a corner charge. Dashes in, gets sent to the apron but he rushes to the top rope as Daniels follows him – Grayson with a flying swinging DDT! Well timed! Buisaku Knee for a close nearfall! Gets him up for Nightfall, Daniels escapes, Grayson dodges a clothesline and hits a Pele Kick, Daniels responds with a Step-Up Enziguri!
Daniels with Angel’s Wings but Grayson amazingly contorts out of it, Sit-Out Inverted Suplex for a nearfall! Wants to steal the Best Moonsault Ever but Daniels rolls out of the way! Angel’s Wings! But Grayson gets the boot on the rope to break up the pin! Grayson elbows him into the corner, charges, Daniels side-steps, Reverse STO into the Koji Clutch! There’s a Creeper on the apron now, ref bickers with him… Daniels punches him, side steps Grayson on a charge, roll-up for 2. Daniels punches both men, but Grayson hoists him up for Nightfall, Daniels counters into a crazy cradle for the win!

Cool stuff! The Dark Order swarms in now, but SCU and Colt Cabana rush out to make the save and run them off – the Creeper gets the Best Moonsault Ever! Christopher Daniels on the mic, says one down, one to go. Sees a lot of the Dark Order out there but he doesn’t see any Exalted One, probably ’cause there is no Exalted One!
