At the height of its broadcast, No Fans Monday had approximately 12,100 concurrent viewers — around the same as World Wonder Ring Stardom’s (Stardom) No People Gate on March 8th. The undercard showcased talent hungry to put on a show despite the dire situation caused by COVID-19. New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) talent and RevPro British Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay came together with Wrestle Talk media platform to put on the event with under a week’s notice to help support independent wrestlers during the global pandemic.
The headline of the event saw one-half of the Aussie Open tag-team with Kyle Fletcher battle Connor Mills in a match that didn’t flow at points and felt a little long. Despite that, both had a quality showing and will likely help their profile on the international wrestling stage. Fletcher likely has a bright future with Aussie Open partner Mark Davis once he returns from injury and the wrestling scene returns to normal following the COVID-19 outbreak.
No Fans Monday Headline And Marque Analysis
The marquee match saw one-half of the Goddesses Of Stardom tag team champions Bea Priestly face Will Ospreay. The two are dating, and Priestly is often on the receiving end of critique by those who feel she hasn’t earned her way in wrestling, ignoring her quality performances and growth in Stardom over the past year. Fans in the United States likely know her more for her appearances in All Elite Wrestling (AEW), but Stardom is where she spends the vast majority of her time in wrestling.
The match was quality and slightly edged out Starr/Newman for match of the night honors. Some fans in wrestling have negative opinions towards intergender wrestling, but this match was a showcase of how matches in that category can be performed believably.
Those critical of Priestly should watch the match with a blank slate and fresh mind. The entire event is available below.
