WWE Monday Night Raw is on tonight from the Performance Center. It’s a unique Empty Arena show here. You can see the results and links to recaps below.
Segment 1: Edge opened up the show to run down Randy Orton, calling him jealous for how Edge managed to succeed in spite of having to work for everything he had when Orton had to have everything handed to him. Said it always ate him alive how everything was laid out for him by his father. Says that he was originally going to retire again and Beth was here to say it for him when Randy attacked her. But after what Orton did to her, he knew he couldn’t retire, it pulled him right back. He says if Orton has the guts, he’s challenging him to a Last Man Standing match at WrestleMania. Becky Lynch pulled up to the arena in a large custom-made semi truck with her face on it.
Segment 2: They proceeded to air the Men’s Royal Rumble match in it’s entirety, which with commercials took up far more than an hour’s worth of television. Actually, it ended up taking more than half the show! For those wondering, yes, Drew McIntyre won again.
Segment 3: The Undertaker appeared tonight for a contract signing for his match with AJ Styles. He wore a bandana and had his hair tied back in a ponytail, prompting much speculation about his return to the American Badass days. He tossed the table over, furious that there was no contract. Turns out AJ swiped the contract and taunted him from backstage. He signed it there, rather than face off with Taker directly. He then made Anderson and Gallows hand him the contract and Undertaker destroyed them both.
Segment 4: Rey Mysterio took on WWE United States Champion Andrade in a non-title match with Asuka inexplicably on commentary. He got the victory and will thus likely be in title contention in the near future.
Segment 5: Becky Lynch cuts a promo on Shayna Baszler, talking about how her whole life she’s been taught that can she just bully her way to the top. But Becky will show her reality at WrestleMania. Kevin Owens accepts Seth Rollins’ challenge and names the place: the Performance Center on April 5th, WrestleMania of course.
Segment 6: In the closing segment, Steve Austin came out to celebrate 3:16 Day with a beer bash, which mostly saw him mess with Byron Saxton before delivering a stunner to him. Becky Lynch came out to partake as well.
