The headline match for Pro Wrestling Revolution’s (also known as Revolucion de la Lucha Libre) October 5, 2019 event saw Pro Wrestling Revolution Women’s Champion Lady Apache, of the famous Apache wrestling family in Mexico, defend her championship against Zeuxis — who spent between June 2009 – June 2017 in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).
The Rudo referee played a big role in the match, often disrupting the flow of what the wrestlers were doing. Lady Apache who has wrestled in CMLL, Lucha Libre AAA (AAA), and in high-level independent promotions in Mexico led the match — showing she could still work despite being in her late 40s.
Zeuxis played the role of the traditional helpless Rudo within the standard playbook for matches where a referee shows extreme favor for one side of a match. While it was not her best effort, she provided a good foil for Lady Apache, allowing her to succeed in the spotlight.
Apache would retain the Pro Wrestling Revolution Women’s Championship impressively. Those who decide to watch the match will see a story focused solely on Lady Apache overcoming the odds and leading the course of events. The match was also well placed on the event as it was the perfect lead in to the marquee main event.
