In AEW, there is a brewing faction being led by an absolute legend. Taz already has Brian Cage under his guidance in AEW, but why stop with just one client? Last night on AEW Dark, we would see Ricky Starks align himself with Cage & Taz. Now, Taz has found himself some time on the microphone, and he’s always got something to say.
Taz Explains Why He Did What He Did
Last week, Taz threw in the towel, saving Cage from six more months on the shelf. He’d want to update everyone on how difficult the week of Taz & Cage was. Lots of heated arguments about how the match went, and Cage nearly fired Taz!
Cooler heads prevailed when Taz explained why he did what he did, why he cost him the championship. It was a business choice, the longer Moxley had that armbar in, the more damage Cage would have suffered. Taz isn’t going to standby and let Cage have his bicep torn twice.
He stands by his choice, but Cage will never end up in that position again, and he wouldn’t tap. He’s the FTW Champion because that is his mindset. No surrender, no quit.
Darby Allin Interrupts, Attacked By Ricky Starks
Cutting Taz off, Darby Allins music would hit, but before he could hit the ring, Ricky Starks would blindside him. Starks would do some serious damage, and then Cage would powerbomb Allin twice. First on the stage, second into the middle of the ring. Starks would pick Allin up and plant him again.
Finally, they’d grab the skateboard of Allin, and look to smash him with it, but Moxley would make the save. He didn’t come alone, he brought a barbed wire baseball bat, and that cleared the ring real quick.
Now Jon Moxley & Darby Allin vs. Brian Cage & Ricky Starks is more obvious than ever. When will we see this match? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
