Two days ago we reported on El Hijo del Santo’s wish to wrestle Atlantis in a Lucha de Apuestas. The match no doubt would be gold all over Mexico, as El Hijo del Santo & Atlantis are the biggest legends active today in Mexico.
The match could be in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre or outside the company. This is an effort by Santo, which means that is all up in the air.
Per Super Luchas, some updates have arisen on the situation. First, a post by Octagon, the AAA legend said the following:
The masks of Fuerza Guerra, Atlanis, and El Hijo del Santo should fall to a legend, and that legend is me.
Octagon later dismissed the comment on Twitter:
HAHAHA THIS IS ABSOLUTELY FALSE I HAVE NEVER POSTED THAT IN MY NETWORKS, AND I NEVER WRITE WITH LOWCASE HAHA GET ABUSADO [slang] !!!!! UNTIL INVENTING THEY ARE BAD HAHAHA
But, things did not end there. El Hijo del Santo once again proposed a dream match, this time including Octagon and Fuerza Guerrera:

Super Luchas writes on the situation:
Undoubtedly, the perfect framework for a duel of this magnitude would be the anniversary of the CMLL in the Arena México and more now that the rivalries towards the 87th edition are not well defined, which is still in doubt due to the pandemic of the coronavirus.
Although the promoter of the El Hijo del Santo, the Todo x Todo, could also organize a fight of this height, without a doubt the Lucha Libre Cathedral would be the perfect place for the duel.
This still doesn’t mean much on the future match. A match featuring CMLL regulars, CMLL friendly wrestlers (Fuerza Guerrera), and those in exiles like Octagon and El Hijo del Santo. The creation of this match is gigantic and complex. Fans will have to wait and see what can be accomplished. If CMLL is smart, it will make the match, at least Hijo del Santo vs. Atlantis happened. It could bring a gigantic gate. We’ll have to wait and see.
