There are a lot of wrestlers in big companies that don’t seem to get their big break. When they deserve a push but there’s no space and instead put them into a tag team seems to be the norm but there are some wrestlers who would be perfect as part of a team but are still by themselves.
This would be massive for WWE as they are usually criticized for the lack of focus on the tag team roster. It usually ends up with nothing for the roster to do half the time, even though they have 3 tag belts within the 3 brands. That’s not the only company that doesn’t put much focus on their tag belts but they’re arguably the worst.
Braun Strowman and The Fiend
This could still happen in the future but at the minute they’re feuding for WWE Universal Champion and are having a match at Summerslam. They have been in the same group before as the Wytt family but Braun Strowman wasn’t an evolved character back then.
Recently, Braun Strowman has started to feel like a true monster like the Fiend. At the moment, yes, the feud looks to be nowhere near over. If done right, these two could become a tag team at some point. It could actually be possible for these two to bring focus back to the WWE’s tag teams.
Samoa Joe and Seth Rollins
This is a random one but Samoa Joe has been part of a very random tag team before in NXT with Finn Balor. They became champions in NXT and had a very good run. Here’s the elephant in the room, Samoa Joe isn’t currently wrestling and is on commentary due to injury.
He is teasing his return though and if he comes back as a heel. Samoa Joe and Seth Rollin both being heels could work very well as they have the same style of promos and style of wrestling.
Finn Balor and Adam Cole (BAY BAY)
This one should lead into a feud or be after a feud. With both of them previously leaders of the Bullet Club but not having a feud between each other and they’re both in NXT is ridiculous.
It’s weird that they haven’t really used their past to fuel a feud. It really feels like its AJ Styles Vs Shinsuke Nakamura kind of deal. The both of them together as a tag team would be a very good, fresh tag team in NXT.
Naomi and Natalya
The women’s tag team champions have never really hit their stride in the company. This is mostly due to the fact that WWE didn’t form many tag teams before introducing the belts. Naomi and Natalya are the least used of the women’s roster.
Even as far as Naomi getting a small movement trending #NaomiDeservesBetter. It felt like Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair leaving has thrown a spanner in the works for the women’s roster. If they just pushed these two stars, it could have been a much smoother transition. That being said, there are new stories in place.
These two have a history together and putting them together for the belts and having a feud with Sasha Banks and Bayley could really work.
