Hello and welcome to another WWE Raw Live Results and Recap!
I’m your host, CP Bialois, and we’re stoked for what should be a fun episode as the fallout of the post-Payback pay-per-view is underway.
Segment 1
Randy Orton and Keith Lee exchanged words, and Dolph Ziggler attacked Lee.
Ziggler hit with a DDT as we ehaded to commercial.
Segment 2
A pretty good match that resembled more amatuer style early on saw Ziggler in control, but he was hit with a shoulder block and sent out of the ring as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
A great match saw Keith Lee survive a Famouser and Zig Zag to hit a Spirit Bomb for the win, sending Lee to the next round of the Number One Contender tournament.
A backstage interview with Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler was interruped by Asuka, who left after a brief altercation.
Segment 4
Adam Pearce gave instructions to the security team about stopping Retribution.
In the ring, Asuka was confronted by Mickie James, Natalya, and Lana.
Natalya and Lana attacked Asuka and James, but the faces cleared the ring.
Maybe a tag match after the commerical break?
Segment 5
Mickie James vs. Lana
Mickie James beat Lana in a match that was okay and felt more like a place keeper.
Backstage, Charly Caruso was outside Aleister Black’s dressing room when Orton exited and walked past her.
Segment 6
Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens
Orton won in seconds after Aleister Black attacked Owens outside the ring and hit him with a Black Mass.
Owens refused to let the match be called, and Orton hit with an RKO and won in seconds.
Backstage, it was announced that Rey Mysterio is injured and can’t face Seth Rollins, and that Dominik with wrestle in his place.
Segment 7
A VIP Lounge was focused on pushing the Hurt Business’ 6 man tag team match against Cedric Alexander and the Viking Raiders, and Shelton Benjamin’s match against Apollo Crews on Raw Underground.
The Viking Raiders and Alexander attacked them and held the ring as we headed to comemrcial.
Segment 8
Hurt Business vs. Cedric Alexander and the Viking Raiders
A good match saw Alexander get the win by rolling up MVP after ducking a boot in the corner.
We were shown Titus O’Neal warming up for Raw Underground prior to commercial.
Segment 9
The Iiconics vs. The Riott Squad – The winner gets s shot and the tag team titles, the loser are no longer a tag team
A good match saw the Iiconics’ desperation, and then temper tantrum when Ruby Riott pinned Billie Kay.
Looks like no more Iiconics.
Segment 10
Seth Rollins vs. Dominik Mysterio
Rollins berrated and sent Murphy to the back, challening him to figure out what kind of man he is.
Dominik took Murphy out from behind, then got the better of Rollins as we headed to commerical.
Segment 11
A good match that Dominik almost won, but Rollins rolled away from the frog splash and hit with a Stomp for the win. Rollins hit with another stomp after the match to make a point.
It’s going to be Rollins Orton, and Lee in a triple threat to face Mcintyre at Clash of Champions.
Titus O’Neil had a good showing in Raw Underground, dispatching two opponent before he and Riddick Moss had a solid fight. Moss won with a knockout.
Segment 12
A clip was shown from earlier in the day where R-Truth pinned Akira Tozawa to win the 24/7 Championship.
Tornado Tag Team Match – The Street Profit vs. Andrade and Angel Garza
The match got off to a fast start, with Dawkins power bombing everyone off the top rope as we headed to commercial.
Segment 13
Andrade and Garza dominated most of the match, and Retribution arrived when the Street Profits started to take over.
Garza took off with Demi Burnett at the first sign of trouble.
Andrade and the Street Profits were beaten down in the ring, and Zelina Vega was knocked out on the floor.
Retritbution ran up the ramp and backstage as we headed to commercial.
Segment 14
Raw Underground
The iiconics were present to watch Jessamyn Duke make shot work of Avery Tayor.
Peyton Royce then sacrificed Billie Kay to Duke and Marina Shafir, and that only lasted one kick and Kay was out cold while Royce laughed.
They were once friends.
Segment 15
Raw Underground
Apolloa Crews vs. Shelton Benjamin only lasted a couple of minutes before it ended up on the floor and the Hurt Business took out Crews, Ricochet, and Alexander.
Number One Contender Triple Threat Match – Randy Orton vs. Keith Lee vs. Seth Rollins
Segmet 16
A pretty good match with a great ending saw Lee counter Rollin’s stomp into a Spirit Bomb. Orton then hit Lee with an RKO and pinned Rollins to face McIntyre at Clash of Champions.
