WWE Smackdown Results and Recap returned from commercial for Alexa Bliss’s interview, and it was a great piece.
Bliss said she’s been better. She added how Braun Strowman can be intimidating, but he’s awesome. He’s a good man, he’s funny, witty, compassionate.
She added that they became best friends, but when she was asked about them linking up romantically, she said maybe.
They care about each other a lot.
She said she doesn’t know why the Fiend came after her, saying it’s up for the people to figure out.
She said being around him was scary and compelling, and how being in Wyatt’s presence was like a moth being drawn to a flame.
She was then asked about what Strowman said last week about not caring about her, and only cared about destroying Wyatt.
She couldn’t answer and looked off to the side. Clearly, she was hurt.
Styles and Deville accept
We came back to learn next week AJ Styles and Jeff hardy will face each other for the Intercontinental Championship.
Then, Sonya Deville responded to Mandy Rose’s challenge and mentioned how it only took a haircut for her to become aggressive.
She also added she thinks Mandy will look great bald, but said she’d kidding.
She added that she’ll make sure Mandy knows her shortcomings and will destroy her.
So, Sonya accepted for their match at SummerSlam and closed by saying “See ya, baldy.”
Big E vs. John Morrison 2.0 (Miz as an guest announcer)
They started it off by looking up and Big E sidestepped a kick at his injured knee the Retribution caused.
Big E then ran him over with a shoulder block.
Morrison faked going for Big E’s injured knee and kicked hi other one and went for a quick pinfall Big E kicked out of.
Bug E then caught Morrison off the ropes with an elbow, and threw Morrison off of him when Morrison tried a waist lock.
Morrison hit with a kick, but when he leapt onto the ropes, Big E pushed him to the floor.
Back in the ring, Big E hit with a clothesline, then dragged Morrison to the apron and hit with some forearms, and the splash on the apron.
Big E rolled into the ring to break the count, then slowly stalked Morrison outside the ring.
He approached Miz while he was cheering on Morrison and Miz’s headphone cable was “accidentally” in Big E’s feet, and Morrison his with a kick to the leg.
Morrison threw him back in the ring for a near pinfall.
Otis came out to confront the Miz while Morrison put a reverse chin lock on Big E.
The lights started flickering while Miz was lecturing Otis and Michael Cole called for security.
Locker room runs in circles
Back from the commercial and most of the Smackdown locker room was surrounding the ring as the match continued.
The camera switched to the backstage area as they took out any official and talent they found, including locking someone who was on the toilet in the bathroom.
They destroyed what looked like the locker room and spray painted their W in a cirlce and line through it on an obviously fake plastic brick wall.
Back in the ring, no one is the wiser except for Cole and Graves as the match continued. And no one listened to Cole when he tried to tell them they were backstage and Graves felt helpless.
Meanwhile, Big E was ready to finish Morrison, but he countered with a step up kick and a kick off the ropes for a near pinfall.
An official came out to let the locker room know, so they’ll head out to the ring soon.
Morrison slipped ut of a powerslam and shoved Big E into the corner, then kicked hi injured knee again.
The locker room reached the backstage area too late and back in the ring…
Morrison and Big E were on the rop rope when Big E threw Morrison off, then hit with a one-armed slam for a near pinfall.
Morrison slipped out of a powerslam again, and Big E countered a kick into the same leg stretch submission he beat the Miz with previously.
As Big E left the ring, Sheamus hit him with a Brogue Kick, but Braun Strowman appeared before Sheamus could continue his assault.
