AEW Dynamite Preview For 09/30/2020 (Jon Moxley Defends AEW Championship, FTR vs. SCU, Ricky Starks vs. Darby Allin)

Wednesday nights mean one thing, and that’s another episode of AEW Dynamite. Like usual, they made no secret on what to expect from tonight’s show. Let’s not waste any time, and break down the announced matches!

Ricky Starks Finally Faces Darby Allin

In a match many expected to see at AEW’s last PPV, All Out, we will finally see Darby Allin & Ricky Starks meet in a one on one war. Team Taz has been leaving Darby Allin battered and bruised since Double Or Nothing, and enough is enough. Allin wants to be a champion in AEW, but that will never happen until he is able to put Team Taz behind him, so let’s start by taking Ricky Starks out.

Starks has never lost a singles match in AEW since his debut match against Cody Rhodes, and recently beat Christopher Daniels on AEW Dark. Allin has found himself taking AEW Champions to the limit, and has a reputation for being as tough as they come. This is going to be a good ol’ fashioned grudge match, which is sometimes wrestling at it’s best.

FTR Give SCU A Tag Team Championship Match

SCU has a chance to become two time AEW Tag Team Champions, as FTR put their AEW Tag Team Championships on the line. There’s just one catch, and that is a twenty minute time limit, and if that time limit is met? It’s no draw, just a win for FTR. It will be Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky in action, with Christopher Daniels being on the outside to ensure Tully Blanchard doesn’t mess with the match too much. FTR’s twenty minute time limit might be a mistake, as it only took SCU twelve minutes to win the AEW Tag Team Champions the first time, but we could just see them draw the timer out to get that easy win on their record.

Jon Moxley Faces An Opponent Of Eddie Kingstons Choosing

Last week, Jon Moxley defended the AEW Championship against Eddie Kingston, and successfully retained by referee stoppage. A bulldog choke was applied, and Kingston passed out, he never tapped out. Because of this, he’s not done with Moxley and tonight he picks who will get a shot at the AEW Championship this week. It’s likely to be either Rey Fenix or Penta El Zero Em, two of Kingstons trusted allies. Either match would be incredible, and should bring plenty of excitement to fans.

    Also Announced For Tonight

Rounding out these huge matches are things like Chris Jericho vs. Isiah Kassidy, Orange Cassidy vs. Dark Order’s Ten, Britt Bakers return to the ring, and Cody Rhodes answers the challenge of Brodie Lee for a dog collar match. What are you most excited for tonight on AEW Dynamite? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
