AEW Dynamite Results: Chris Jericho & Jake Hager vs. Private Party

Chris Jericho has gotten sick of calling himself ‘Le Champion without gold to prove his point, and with the AEW Championship outside of his grasp, he’s looking elsewhere. Specifically, he and & Jake Hager of The Inner Circle have their eyes set on the AEW Tag Team Championships, and are setting off to climb the rankings in that division. They started last week against Joey Janela & Sonny Kiss, but will Private Party put a premature end to this?

Jake Hager Is A Force To Be Reckoned With

Matt Hardy wouldn’t be in the corner of Private Party tonight, having been presumably taken out by Jericho earlier in the night. Quen would start against Hager, and Quen would just be dwarfed by Hager. The speed of Private Party would be important in managing this match, and they’d use that to take out both opponents with kicks and dives.

All this would get a one count on Hager, but they’d remain persistent and hit a double suplex, but he’d be right back up. Hager would throw Quen across the ring and nail a big boot to the face. Jericho would come in to beat up a hurt Quen, taking a slow pace as he picks away at the relative rookie.

Hager would come back in, and shows that he’s the meat of his team as he all but knocks Quen out. Quen got some lucky kicks in, but barely had the energy to make the tag, meaning Kassidy was all but alone. Jericho came in and took a springboard moonsault for a two count. While the referee was checking on Jericho, Kassidy would be hit with a bat and then slammed into the steel ring post.

After this assault, Kassidy was barely in this match. He’d take a Hager Bomb during the commercial break, removing most of the breath from his body. Hager would play around with Kassidy a bit, like a cat who caught the mouse already.

Chris Jericho Shuts The Party Down

A sleeper hold would be applied, and Kassidy would summon some energy as the crowd chants for Private Party, and catches his second wind but fails to make the tag. Private Party would manage to set up the Silly String DDT, and Quen needed this tag more than anything.

Both Quen and Jericho would come into this match, and for a moment it looked like he might be able to win this one for his team. He’d get a two on Jericho after a crossbody, but he’d tag in Kassidy to hit Poetry in Motion and a footstomp/neckbreaker combo for a near fall.

Jericho would be taken off the top rope by a hurricanrana, but again kicked out. He’d go for Judas Effect and miss as Kassidy got the roll up. Kassidy would go fight and miss the Swanton Bomb, take a Judas Effect and this one was done.

Who can stop Jericho & Hager? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
