WWE NXT Results: Women's Battle Royale

Battle Royales are one of the simple joys in professional wrestling. You take a bunch of your best wrestlers, and have them throw each other over the top rope until the best of the best is left standing. We’re going to see another from NXT tonight, as the women of NXT look to get a shot against Io Shirai. Who would be left standing, and punch their ticket to Takeover?

Rhea Ripley & Raquel Gonzalez Clear The Field

This match would start the show, the ring already packed with talent, and Candice LeRae made her way to the ring. They’d cut back backstage, and LeRae had just taken out Tegan Nox backstage, removing her from this match. Rhea Ripley made her way to the ring, and this one was ready to go. It’d be instantly a sea of chaos, with a lot of new faces fresh from the PC in the mix.

Rhea Ripley would get the first elimination, one of these new faces. Raquel Gonzalez would get the next elimination, a girl named Raven. Rhea Ripley would throw a girl named Ellie over the top rope, right into the guard rail, showing her dominance. Marina Shafir would be the next elimination for Ripley, and Raquel got her second a moment later, and her third shortly after.

No one has eliminated anyone but these two, and Raquel wasted no time getting her fourth elimination, with Ripley tying that record real quick. Catalina would be booted off the top rope by Raquel, making five, and Indi Hartwell would almost make six. Aliyah thought she eliminated Kacy Catanzaro, but the ninja warriors feet wouldn’t hit the floor, and she made her way back into the ring as we went to a commercial break.

During the break, Ripley made quick work of Aliyah, and this match would really start to take form. Kacy Catanzaro saved herself by latching onto the barricade after being launched, but Indi Hartwell did her best to stop this. Kayden Carter would try to help her partner, but Raquel eliminated Carter, but Carter helped Catanzaro back into the ring.

    Candice LeRae Outlasts Them All

Finally, the two titans of this match would meet in the middle of the ring, and they’d eliminate each other in the process. This left Dakota Kai, Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell, Shotzi Blackheart, and Kacy Catanzaro in this match. Hartwell would once again try to get Catanzaro out, but ended up eliminating herself.

Kai & LeRae would work together to try to get Catanzaro out of this match, and Kai finally found a way to get Catanzaro out. There were three left in the match, but Blackheart eliminated Kai, putting it down to LeRae and Blackheart.

A reverse sling blade from Blackheart softened up LeRae, but LeRae wouldn’t be tossed over the top rope just yet. Blackheart missed the senton and got hit with a neckbreaker, and would be sent over the top rope, but she got back in. LeRae & Blackheart ended up in the corner, both having come over the top rope and were inches from disaster. After a brawl on the stairs, LeRae would send Blackheart to the ground, and now has a date with Io Shirai.

Candice LeRae & Io Shirai had a classic match in 2019, and now it’s time to play that one back. Will LeRae win the NXT Women’s Championship? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
