The Royal Rumble may still be a couple of months away, but already sportsbooks have opened the markets for the superstar that will win the men’s and women’s matches. It will make for compelling viewing over the coming months, as they will be likely to change on a consistent basis as one of the biggest events of the year grows closer. But, which superstar is currently the favourite in the betting? And, could there be a potential dark horse that catches the eye of the WWE Universe?
WWE News: Who Is The Favourite In The Betting?
There is a clear favourite in the betting at present, as Big E is at evens with the majority of sportsbooks that offer a Royal Rumble market. The former New Day member is likely to get a big push in the near future, after being separated from his brother during the WWE Draft. Big E is yet to really make his mark as a singles competitor, but there is hope that this could change over the coming months.
Many fans are already predicting that Big E will win the Rumble, and then will go on to face Roman Reigns for the WWE Championship at the following Mania. It could be the big push that fans have been hoping for, as Big E could become the second New Day member to win a WWE Championship in three years. But, there are also a number of other established stars available at the top of the market.
WWE News: Value Elsewhere In The Betting
Big E may the favourite, but there are also a number of other established stars with short odds. Among them is Edge, who is the clear second favourite at present above Keith Lee, Roman Reigns and AJ Styles. That would be a simple plan to see for fans, as Edge would win the Rumble before then going on to Mania to take on Randy Orton for the second time in a year.
However, there are a number of dark horses for the Rumble also available, with both Brock Lesnar and The Rock towards the top of the market. The Rock has already teased a potential match with Reigns at a future Mania, and the betting would suggest that he could win a Rumble to achieve that. CM Punk is another superstar that has decent odds on the win, while Daniel Bryan and Jey Uso are also at odds of greater than 10/1.
