In the words of Cameron Grimes ‘Whatever happened last week, that was weeks ago’. He’s moving on, and tonight has a match with Jake Atlas. Dexter Lumis who? Anxiety of zombies? Nawh. He’s beyond all that, and wants to move forward during a match with Jake Atlas. A few wins can get you far in NXT, but is Lumis going to let this feud just go away?
Cameron Grimes Makes Quick Work
Grimes would quickly see the speed of Atlas, as he would hit an impressive series of arm drags. Atlas wouldn’t stay on top for long, Grimes catching him with a German Suplex, before being stomped in the corner. Kevin Owens knows all about Grimes, having previously wrestled him, but doesn’t like his stupid hat.
Atlas would counter a back suplex, and throw some heavy strikes. A kick from Grimes stunned him, but he came back with a German Suplex and a big forearm, getting a near fall. Grimes came back with a big boot, hit the Standing Spanish Fly and Cave In for a pretty easy win.
Atlas might be able to hang with the NXT Cruiserweight Champion, Santos Escobar but it can be hard to beat a star like Cameron Grimes. It’s easy to forget he has a pinfall over current NXT Champion Finn Balor to his name.
Dexter Lumis Wants A Strap Match
While celebrating the win, Grimes would be greeted by Dexter Lumis who slipped into the ring and sent him running. Lumis had a video package of Grimes running away scared time and time again during the Haunted House of Terrors match, and then when he was ready to have words with Lumis?
Grimes would be thrown a strap, but there is no way Lumis wants to be attached to Cameron Grimes, so Grimes is refusing the match! However, Grimes doesn’t make the matches. William Regal does, and lord knows he’s sick of dealing with Cameron Grimes all the same.
