Last week, August Grey stood up to Timothy Thatcher during an episode of Thatch-As-Thatch Can Wrestling. Thatcher was certain to get revenge for this, and he’d do so by attacking Grey backstage. During this, he threw Grey into a picture drawn by Dexter Lumis, booking a match with the tortured artist in the process. Lumis previously choked out Thatcher in a triple threat with Finn Balor, can he do this in one on one?
Timothy Thatcher Remembers Past Injuries
Lumis started this one with a Thesz Press, ironic as Thatcher looks like someone who would have wrestled Lou Thesz. Thatcher would go after the previously injured ankle of Lumis, an injury Thatcher caused.
Lumis tried to show that he can wrestle with Thatcher, before getting his ankle grabbed and torqed. The hold was broken, and Thatcher came back with a belly to belly suplex. Thatcher would hit a european uppercut, a knee to the gut, and right back to that ankle.
This was turning into a Thatch-as-Thatch Can clinic, and Lumis was looking hopeless as he was put in the Bow & Arrow hold. Lumis broke free and hit some hard punches to the face. A huge spinebuster would be followed by a big dropkick, but he might have hurt his arm during the spinebuster.
Lumis cleared the ring, and got some feeling back in his arm, before being cautious and stalked Thatcher. Thatcher got some hard strikes on the outside, broke the count and would take some hard strikes of his own before going shoulder first into the post. We’d go to a commercial break.
Dexter Lumis Gets Screwed
Coming back from the break, Thatcher has been grinding down the right shoulder of Lumis, before hitting the double underhook suplex. He’d keep the attack steady with a Kimura lock, but Lumis fought the hold, but Thatcher turned it into a pinfall. Thatcher moved to the left arm, never letting go during this, before getting up and just stomping Lumis.
Another attempt of the Double Underhook Suplex would be blocked, as Lumis hit a backdrop and a leaping leg drop. Lumis had a big comeback with the clothesline into bulldog combo, before going to the top rope. Thatcher would try to fight him off, but almost end up in Silence, before being shoved off twice. Lumis hit a big swanton bomb and pulled his shirt off.
Another attempt at Silence, and Cameron Grimes would materialize at ringside, but have Thatcher thrown into him. This was enough to distract Lumis anyways, and Thatcher would get a flash pinfall on Lumus.
Grimes was ready to get revenge for Halloween, but was still scared of Lumis. He’d target the arm, take Lumis down and put a burlap sack over the head of Lumis, removing the icy stare as he beat him down. Instead of trying to remove the sack. he’d grab a chair and swing widely, before being sat on it and taking a Cave In.
