WWE Smackdown Results returned as the match started with Murphy locking in a rear waist lock, which earned him an elbow.
Dominik distracted Corbin and Murphy locked in a headlock. Corbin sent him off the ropes and hit with a shoulder block and Rey got on the apron to distract Corbin.
Murphy hit a couple of kicks before he dropped Murphy with a clothesline and then chased Rey and Dominik off the apron again.
Murphy dodged Corbin’s charge, so Corbin slid out of the ring and grabbed the ring post as he usually does, but had to stop when Aalyah stepped in front of him.
Corbin was clearly frustrated, and Murphy hit a drip kick through the ropes and a kick from the apron.
Corbin caught his dive off the apron, but Murphy reversed it and threw him into the steps before throwing him into the ring.
Corbin his a Deep Six, but Rey distracted the referee so Corbin couldn’t pin Murphy.
Corbin hammered on Murphy and Rey did another distraction. He then threw Murphy into the corner, but Murphy sidestepped his charge and Corbin his the turnbuckle.
Dominik grabbed Corbin’s leg off the ropes and Murphy hit a knee for the pin.
Corbin had put his foot on the rope but Dominik shoved it off.
This was one of the dumbest matches we’ve seen, and they’ve effectively turned Corbin face and the Mysterio family heel with these shenanigans.
After the match, Corbin called them a bunch of spineless cowards and challenged Murphy to a rematch next week and promised he will be prepared.
Big E impresses Sami Zayn
Back from commercial, Big E was backstage with Apollo Crews while they played basketball with a paper ball and a trash can.
Zayn told them he had an interview after his stunning match, and he talked some smack on Crews, but Big E managed to keep him from going after Zayn.
When Crews left, Big E pointed out how Zayn’s house is ricketing and hit margin for error is razor thin.
He added that Zayn’s house is a house of cards and all it’ll take is a gust of win to bring it all down.
Zayn said it sounds like sour grapes because he keeps winning in ten seconds, and that Big E should be applauding him.
Big E did, then shook his hand, crushing it for ten seconds.
He finished by saying he’s so proud of Zayn.
The Boss strikes back
Carmella cut a promo about how she’s going to take over the women’s division from Sasha Banks.
She pointed out how she used to be like Banks by doing it for the fans, but she won’t do that anymore. She said she’s calling the shots and giving the orders because everyone jumps for her.
She then snapped her fingers a couple of times for service, and Banks held out a glass of wine and threw it in her face.
Banks then pounded her down and locked in the Bank Statement before officials separated them. WWE Smackdown Results have been waiting for things to get interesting between these two.
It’s going to be a fun ride.
