When Ring Of Honor lacks a challenger for one of their titles on a big show, there is only one thing to do. Grab four of the best men in the locker room who aren’t currently booked, and start up a Four Corners Survival match! Josh Woods, LSG, Dak Draper & Tony Deppen are all going to duke it out, and the winner will have punched their ticket to a match with Dragon Lee for the ROH TV Championship later in the night.
The rules of Four Corners Survival are different. Two men are legal in the ring, with you being able to tag yourself in. If someone is thrown out, Lucha Rules apply and someone can jump back in.
Dax Draper Is A Monster
This one has a twenty minute time limit, and if it goes the limit Dragon Lee doesn’t wrestle later. Woods & Draper would take the ring first, Draper taking Woods down and this one looked like a Pure Rules match early on with a lot of grappling. Draper kept winning these exchanges, but Woods wasn’t going to give up, but LSG tagged himself in off Woods. LSG was almost dropped with a doctor bomb before Deppen tagged himself in off Draper.
They’d speed this match up considerably, both taking a breakneck pace. LSG sent Deppen to the outside and dove out, making Woods & Draper legal for more amateur wrestling showcases. Draper dropkicked Woods out of the ring, and Deppen came and was ready to throw hands with the biggest man in the match. This approach didn’t help him much, and a springboard attempt saw him kicked out of the sky. A big deadlift suplex from Draper would have been followed with the Magnum Drop, but LSG tried to tag himself in.
This didn’t work, as LSG was thrown out and lucha rules kept Deppen legal. Woods & Draper got in a verbal argument, and this let the crafty Deppen take some advantage before being dropkicked down to the apron. A deadlift superplex from the apron to the ring would have ended it, but Woods saved this one before being thrown out.
Don’t Forget About Tony Deppen
Draper was controlling this match, taking Deppen out of the ring before LSG came in and used his speed to take advantage. He’d hit the Rocket By Baby and a Springboard forearm, but only got a two count. Woods came in and hit a twisting Butterfly Suplex on LSG, before Deppen took him out. Deppen wanted to finish off LSG, but was caught by Draper with a huge slam.
LSG was stranded on the top rope, and Draper tried for a superplex, but Woods came in and took them out with a German Suplex. We almost didn’t have a ring for the rest of the night after that impact. Draper & Woods would throw heavy blows, and Woods was fired up at this point. A running knee from Woods was met with a running forearm from Draper, and a Doctor Bomb for a two count.
Woods went for a submission, but couldn’t get it. Draper was flung outside of the ring, LSG dove onto Woods, and Deppen slipped in to pin LSG after Woods rolled out! The unsigned man of Tony Deppen is gonna fight for the TV title! Can he beat Dragon Lee? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
