In 2020, I marked Bronson Rechsteiner as someone to watch as time goes on. The son of wrestling legend Rick Steiner, was reported to be a draft pick for the National Football League. He was picked up by the Baltimore Ravens in April, before being cut from the roster in August. Now, he’s entering the family business. We all knew that if football didn’t work out, he’d be hitting a ring before long. That day has come and come, as Bronson Rechsteiner had quietly made his debut back in October
Bronson Made His In-Ring Debut Back In 2020
Coming out alongside his uncle Scott Steiner, Bronson had his debut match at AFW/WOW Wrestle Jam 8, an indy event in Georgia. His opponent was Jamie Hall, a man who has been wrestling since at least 2008. Bronson dominated the bulk of the match, and looked like a natural in the ring. He’s got the look, a legendary last name to use, and just needs to refine his in ring skills.
During the match, he threw a shoulder tackle that looked like the one his dad used to throw, and even applied the Steiner Recliner. The main flaws viewers noticed with him, a lack of proper selling and a bit of clunkiness, are very fixable by more training. He likely only got trained by his father & uncle in the lead up to this match, and already looked great. Now imagine what a system like NXT could do for him?
Bronson Rechsteiner Could Be WWE’s Next Big Monster Heel
Not to accuse WWE of being fairly basic in their ideas, but they tend to use common characters to great effect. One of those, is the dominant monster heel. Recent names like Karrion Kross & Lars Sullivan come to mind in this role, just big brutes who can tear a limb off you, and then beat you down with it. Given the size and legacy of the Steiner family, Bronson could very well be the next monster heel for WWE.
It’s only a matter of time before he gets his chance to try out for the WWE Performance Center, which could easily fill in the cracks shown in his debut match. Do you think we’ll see him in WWE within the next few years? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
