When Miro joined the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) roster after his time in WWE as Rusev ran out, everyone had one thought. He was always ready to be a world heavyweight champion, and would surely succeed in any company that picked him up. While his AEW run got off to a rocky start, with him being stuck in the role of enforcer of Kip Sabian, he’s been slowly hitting his stride.
Miro remains undefeated in AEW, and that will likely continue for a while to come. This will allow him to climb the rankings, and close in on a major goal for him. Miro wants to be AEW World Champion, at all costs.
Miro Will Retire If He Doesn’t Win The AEW Championship
During one of his Twitch streams, Miro was conducting a Q&A session with his fans. This led to stuff like him being told that he sucks and needs to go back to WWE, while also getting actual questions like if he plans on retiring from the ring anytime soon. To that, he responded “When the time is right. I’ve said that before, and I can guarantee you that if I don’t become AEW Champion, I’m probably going to retire. Actually not probably, I will retire.”
He Maintains His Character On Twitch Streams
Despite this coming on a Twitch Stream, Miro will often maintain his character from AEW on those. He didn’t really give a timeframe as to when he needs to win the AEW Championship back, or if he’ll just retire if he challenges and fails to win the belt. We’ve only ever seen Miro in one World Title match, when he challenged AJ Styles for the WWE Championship. He proved on that night that he can hang with the best in the world, and now Miro is in the best physical shape of his career.
It will only be a matter of time before he is able to get a shot at the AEW Championship. Do you see Miro as a future AEW Champion? Could he be the one to dethrone Kenny Omega? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
