One of the best parts of Impact Wrestling right now is the reigning and defending TNA Wrestling Champion, Moose. Having found the old TNA Heavyweight Championship title hanging around backstage, Moose has been looking for respect as the true world champion. It has been an incredibly fun angle, and one that has reminded many of just how good Moose can be. However, his contract with Impact Wrestling is up in a few months.
Moose Will Be A Free Agent In June
While it was noted on the Hard To Kill broadcast that Moose had just signed a new two year deal with Impact Wrestling, that was just part of the show. Fightful Select has reported that Moose’s contract with the company will reach its end in June. Obviously that still gives time for Impact to make a new deal with Moose, but it could also mean that he is just one of many top stars who could leave the company later this year.
It would be a shame to see Moose go, especially as it feels like he’s just a few matches from actually becoming the Impact Wrestling Champion. His feud with Rich Swann is one of the best in professional wrestling today, and he showed in the Hard To Kill main event that he belongs on top. He’s reaching the prime of his career, and when fans return, everyone will remember how beloved he is by crowds.
Joining The AEW Roster?
Considering Moose had been passed up on by WWE in the past, but hung with Kenny Omega in that main event at Hard to Kill? We might know where his next home will be. Moose would be able to join over powerhouses like Will Hobbs, Lance Archer, Brian Cage, The Butcher, Luchasarus, and more, and AEW would be better for having him.
Any company can benefit from someone like Moose, as his charisma and in-ring skill are unmatched at times. He’d fit into any roster around the world with ease, but it’s hard to imagine him being as big a star elsewhere as in Impact Wrestling. If he does leave, they are the masters of reshuffling their roster, and someone else will get his main event spot.
Nothing is sure yet, and Moose very well could sign a two year deal before June comes into view. Do you want to see Moose remain in Impact Wrestling? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
