WWE Raw Preview is glad to see the WWE putting forward the best match they’re capable of for the Elimination Chamber, and tonight we’re going to get a preview of it on Raw’s Go Home episode.
Of course, there’s going to be a few moments where we’re going to wonder what’s going on and we doubt this will be anywhere as good as the pay-per-view match.
At least, that may be the plan.
No promotion wants a televised match to outperform a pay-per-view match, but it happens. Especially when the winner of the match enters the Elimination Chamber last.
In this case, WWE creative may have booked themselves into a corner simply because they have the brand’s top stars and they have to be careful who loses as it’ll make them appear weak.
Not that it matters to the WWE much, as we’ve seen in recent memory (McIntyre-Orton feud) they have no problem in making someone look weak to try to build suspense.
We’re supposed to tune in to watch the WWE, not a performer anymore.
Criss cross, double cross
Since the winner enters the Chamber last, and having McIntyre, Styles, or Orton lose cleanly would weaken them heading into the PPV, there’s going to be some creative finagling of the rules.
So, we expect there to be plenty of disqualifications, count outs, and other various eliminations before McIntyre is eliminated either in the final three.
Yep, we’re picking McIntyre to lose simply because it’ll give him longer odds come Elimination Chamber and it’s the type of drama the WWE likes.
We’re going to throw a Hail Mary out there and go with Sheamus and Orton being the final two with Orton winning.
Honestly, we’d prefer seeing Styles win, but we have a feeling he and Jeff Hardy will eliminate each other through a DQ and go into another feud. Just a gut hunch.
We think Sheamus and McIntyre would be a great WrestleMania match, and this will be the WWE’s way of prolonging or putting their feud on the back burner.
We may be tired of seeing Orton and McIntyre dominate the spotlight, but they do work great together and put on awesome matches.
Plus, there’s the angle where Sheamus will grow even more pissed that he’s being pushed aside, and it could create an interesting angle where he turns on the front office and truly has no friends.
WWE Raw Preview gets the feeling we’ve seen this a dozen or so times before…
Miz TV featuring Drew McIntyre
Of course, probably opening the night we’ll have a Mix TV segment where they’ll ask Drew McIntyre about Sheamus turning on him and try to get under his skin.
McIntyre will take out his frustrations on them and Sheamus, Styles, and Jeff will come down to air their grievances to add hype to their match, which we expect to be the main event.
How do you think the match and Mix TV will go tonight? Let us know in the comments below and we’ll see you tonight at WWE Raw Live Results.
