Call of Duty has been on the road to hitting a wall for a while now. Their yearly releases have been getting steadily worse over the years.
Now it seems that they have hit Assassin’s Creed Unity. It is now being reported that industry insider, Tom Henderson has said that Call of Duty 2021 will be a disaster. Delays have played the gaming industry over the past year. One of the reasons for this was Covid.
All of these delays didn’t get much criticism due to the whole way studios develop games had to be changed very quickly. Call of Duty has currently kept on their yearly release schedule which looks to be a massive mistake.
One year less than usual
It has also been mentioned that Call of Duty 2021 has had one less year than planned in development. There is no classification on if this was to Covid or just the fact that the yearly schedule has caught up to them.
The games have been getting worse over the years. They did fix this slightly through their seasons but the constraint glitches and bugs shows that the games need a lot more time in development.
There has been a lot of criticism of Call of Duty over the last couple of years but this could be the thing that changes Call of Duty.
Is this the end of the yearly released Call of Duty?
There have been a lot of cracks in Call of Duty but if this is what the insider is saying a complete disaster. It feels very likely that this could be the big push that Call of Duty needs to skip a year and make a good Call of Duty game.
If they changed it to a two year cycle and keep to there different studios making the Call of Duty games. The games could be great ones again.
They will also have a lot more time to fix their constant glitches that we see every week. Remember to stay up to date with the latest news on TheOvertimer. Don’t forget to visit Gamestingr for great videos, news, and gameplay!
