Tonight’s going to be an interesting show as we dive into the aftermath of WrestleMania 37 and WWE Smackdown Preview can’t wait.
We even get a championship match that we assume will be the main event as the Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins, Montez Ford) challenge the Dirty Dawgs (Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode) for their tag titles.
This should be a great match as the four of them are phenomenal talents, but we expect Ziggler and Roode to win for the simple reason Rey and Dominik Mysterio seem slated to defeat them.
It doesn’t help they only have about four tag teams on Smackdown, but we expect this to end the feud between these two teams for the moment so the Dirty Dawgs can feud with the Mysterios for Backlash.
Alpha Academy (Otis, Chad Gable) vs. Rey and Dominik Mysterio
Speaking of the Mysterios, the father and son duo are going to continue their push up the Smackdown tag team list when they face the Alpha Academy once again.
The Alpha Academy has dominated this feud even when they’ve lost, but we have a feeling tonight’s the night where the Mysterios get a clean win and go into next week with a new feud with Roode and Ziggler.
New commentary team
With Corey Graves moving to WWE Raw, Michael Cole needed a new commentary partner, so Pat McAfee was tabbed to take over beginning with tonight’s episode.
McAfee dropped the news this morning on Twitter.
Good morning beautiful people…

“For as long as I can remember WWE has been a company that I have admired, both for its incredible staying power of creating riveting entertainment and for its ability to connect people all over the globe. I’ve been fortunate to try a lot of cool professions but working for WWE was the one I looked forward to most. I am incredibly honored and grateful for the chance to give back to the business that has given me and many others so much and having the opportunity to sit at the same table that legends have graced is truly a dream come true. Now let’s go get it.”
McAfee will be working with the current longest tenured commentator in the company, and WWE Smackdown Preview wish him the best and look forward to hearing him at work.
