9 FIGHTERS RELEASED FROM THE UFC ROSTER AS YORGAN DE CASTRO MAKES THE LATEST UFC ROSTER CUT.
Taking a closer look at the fighters who made the latest cut from the UFC, we have:
Justine Kish’s who debuted in the UFC in 2015 with back-to-back wins in her first two fights has suffered severe decline in her prowess in the Octagon, suffering 4 defeats in her last 5 bouts, her most recent loss to Tracy Cortez marked the end of her stay in the UFC.
Yorgan De Castro who debuted with a knockout victory in 2019 at UFC 243, has gone down the spiral ever since, suffering three consecutive defeats in his last three fights, losing by knockout in his last fight to Jarjis Danho who was purportedly an underdog in the matchup. For someone who started so brilliantly, De Castro has been a massive disappointment so far and his cut from the roster is not at all shocking.
Oskar Piechota’s numbers look fantastic on paper, however, he has still been cut from the roster. This may appear weird on the surface, but when you consider the fact that Piechota has lost his last four fights in a row although the last one was overturned to a no contest, with the fact that Piechota got suspended recently by USADA for using performance enhancing drugs; you realize that Piechota may have actually lost what it takes to continue competing in the UFC. Piecing all this information together, Piechota’s cut is not all that surprising because he appears to have descended the ladder ability-wise and even decided to go lower by using drugs to enhance his performances.
