Teoman has been on a win streak in NXT UK since making his debut. Tonight, he takes on the athletic powerhouse Ashton Smith, after looking to drive a wedge between Smith and his tag team partner Oliver Carter. They’ll meet one on one tonight, and despite Smith finding his footing in NXT lately, Teoman is on the road to the top.
Ashton Smith Has No Choice But To Submit To Teoman
Smith would shove Teoman off on the opening lock up, before dumping him over his shoulders into the match. Teoman went for a single leg takedown and was thrown aside, before Smith laid in some heavy uppercuts. Smith would hit a judo style throw to get a one count, and sent Teoman to the apron before punching him down to the floor.
Teoman suckered Smith in before catching him in the ring skirt and pummeling him with punches. Back in the ring, Smith took advantage again with a shoulder tackle before having his leg cut out from underneath. Smith would have his arm stomped into the mat, and Teoman was starting to pick him apart.
The steel post would be used on the arm, before Teoman would dropkick the arm and look to apply the crossface. Smith was able to power out and hit a vertical suplex, getting a two count. Teoman was locked in a Head & Arm Clutch, and Smith was close to a submission win, but Teoman got the ropes.
Smith went for an STO, Teoman rolled through the nailed a stomp to the hands before hitting a sliding elbow strike. Teoman caught Smith with a dragon screw before missing a basement dropkick and taking a jumping knee strike and gutwrench suplex. The arm of Smith was bothering him, and Teoman shoved him into the corner, before being hit with a lariat.
Smith was digging deep, and hoisted Teoman up for a death valley driver. Teoman broke free and took Smith down. The crossface was applied, and Smith had no choice but to tap. A gutsy performance, but Teoman is on a roll. After the match, Teoman applied the hold again, and Oliver Carter made the save.
Kenny Williams Claims Another Win
After driving Amir Jordan out of NXT UK, Kenny Williams is looking to keep his winning ways alive as he faces the debuting Andy Wild. Williams has a new attitude and new look, shaving his beard and getting new trunks. Same old skills are still here however, as he grabbed a headlock on Wild before grabbing a wrist lock.
Wild would show his power he threw Williams across the ring, before also blocking a single leg takedown. Williams was put onto the top rope, but as the referee look to break them up, he’d rake the eyes of Wild. Wild would be beaten down in the middle of the ring and applied a double arm choke.
He’d drive the knee into the back of the neck for extra leverage, but Wild slipped free. Williams was relentless and hit a dragon screw as he worked on the left leg of Wild and applied a toe hold. Wild got an opening and would fight back with a belly to belly suplex, before setting up a deadlift German Suplex. Williams hit a mule kick to the knee, a chop block and the headlock driver for the win.
Meiko Satomura vs. Kay Lee Ray Set For Two Weeks
In the first gauntlet match in NXT UK history, Meiko Satomura would come out on top and earn a second chance to become the NXT UK Women’s Champion. Her last match with Kay Lee Ray was one of the best in the history of the belt, but was unsuccessful in claiming the belt.
However, we’d learn that the rematch comes in two weeks. No one has come closer to beating the ‘forever champion’ of Kay Lee Ray than Satomura, and it might be time for that reign to finally end.
