A few weeks back on Ring of Honor TV, the eleven time ROH World Tag Team Champions, The Briscoes, got into an argument. They were hyping up the return of fans come Best in The World, but had different ideas on what they wanted to be doing. Mark wanted to get the team back together and go for reign #12, while Jay wants to get back to being a singles wrestler. This quickly escalated, and this week on ROH TV we’d get an idea of what is coming next.
Papa Briscoe Sets Up The Fight On The Farm
Jay Briscoe would blame their recent tag team loss to EC3 & Flip Gordon on Mark Briscoe. Mark fired back by saying it was the chain of Jay that was used to knock him silly, and therefore it’s Jay’s faut. This sibling rivalry needed intervention, and Papa Briscoe was here to provide just that.
Papa Briscoe knows exactly how Mark & Jay will get this issue sorted. They’re going to do things Old School Style, right in their barn where a wrestling ring is set up. The Briscoes are gonna fight it out on their Chicken Farm, in the first ever Fight On The Farm in professional wrestling history.
Mark & Jay Briscoe Might Be Able To Make Something Special
This match will air in two weeks, and will likely take on a slightly cinematic presentation in how it is shot, due to the odd choice of venue. These are two men who know each other very well, and that’s the only reason fans can have faith in this match. Mark Briscoe is pretty unhinged at the best of times, and Jay Briscoe isn’t much better.
This could be one of the final cinematic style matches that we will see. Fans are coming back, and generally speaking someone doesn’t want to pay to see a wrestling show to watch a cinematic match on a screen. It can get decent reception if done very well, but those situations are rare and few between. ROH has only done one match in the cinematic style, that being the brawl between Matt Taven & Vincent, which received poor reviews.
