WWE is constantly preparing performers for the ring in the WWE Performance Center. From indie wrestling standouts to star athletes, they have enough talent to rebuild their rosters from scratch at a moment’s notice. However right now, it’s not the indie wrestlers who are getting hype backstage, it’s the star athletes who are gaining the hype from backstage officials.
Bronson Rechsteiner & Bobby Steveson Are Proving To Be Future Stars In Performance Center
When it comes to training professional wrestlers for WWE, training athletes can generally be easier. They are used to taking hard instructions from coaches, and are less likely to push back or feel like they already know everything there is to know from time on the indies. Even someone like Seth Rollins came into WWE with attitude issues due to their prior in-ring experience, and nearly got cut before it.
A report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has given some insight into what WWE feels about their current stock of trainees. “People are heavily praising the potential of the “real athletes” in camp right now. All were praised for how well they were picking things up, conditioning and attitude.” This group includes Bronson Rechsteiner, son of Rick Steiner, and Bobby Steveson, a former University of Minnesota heavyweight amateur wrestler and older brother of Gable Steveson, and the Kasper Brothers.
Parker Boudreaux Cleared To Join The Training After Ankle Injury
When the report was made by Dave Meltzer, one name was singled out for not being mentioned. This was Parker Boudreaux, who has been compared potential wise to a young Brock Lesnar. However, he wasn’t left out due to not showing the same potential as Rechsteiner or Steveson. It’s due to him having recently suffered an ankle injury.
He’s now been cleared to join training once again, and since signing with WWE in February, he’s gotten high praise and is viewed as a potential big star for RAW & Smackdown. Being compared to Brock Lesnar is truly something special, as he’s been one of the biggest stars WWE ever had.
