AEW is still in its early years, but some problems will still need to be fixed in the upcoming years.
Matches ending way too abruptly
The transition from match to match, segment to segment, seems to be a problem that is getting worse through the months. It feels so abrupt some may be due to no fallout after the match. But a lot of it is actually due to commentators not reacting to what happened that much—making it feel that the match or segment wasn’t that exciting.
Feuds are way too long
AEW feuds and storytelling is one of the best in any company. However, their feuds feel way too long. At the moment, the current feuds of Cody Rhodes Vs. QT Marshall, Inner Circle Vs. Pinnacle, Dark Order Vs. Matt Hardy‘s faction and some others. They seem like they have gone slightly too long and have also hit their peak a month ago and are still going.
focus on hiring women wrestlers
Brit Baker is no doubt going to push the women’s division to new heights, but currently, it’s still not at the best it could be. It felt like the latest episode of Dynamite did pull it back a bit with them doing a tag team to build up the feud between Brit and Nyla Rose. AEW has also lost a couple of women to WWE. There are still problems in the women’s division, but there is no doubt that it’s improving.
Have a TNT or Tag Champion from another brand
The TNT and Tag Championships have been great for a while, but the forbidden door has been open for a while in AEW, and nothing much has happened. To make the crossover feel bigger than they are, a wrestler from another company needs to win an AEW championship.
More top card wrestlers
There are many wrestling fans out there that say that AEW has too many top card wrestlers. But looking at the roster, there doesn’t seem to be many who can go up against Miro or Kenny Omega. There are a lot of future stars in AEW, but current stars are lacking. There are still some that could go up against Kenny Omega and Miro, but that doesn’t mean it could still maybe grow by three or four.
