Right now, the next tapings of Impact Wrestling are in the works over in Nashville. We’ve already gotten news that Frankie Kazarian is set to make his return to the company for the first time since 2014, as he looks to keep taking the fight to The Elite & Bullet Club. However, with the current leader of Bullet Club hanging around in Impact for a while, new members were expected, and they’ve added a deadly junior heavyweight to their ranks.
Jay White Is Recruiting For Bullet Club In Impact Wrestling
At the end of Slammiversary, the current NJPW NEVER Openweight Champion, Jay White would show up to confront Kenny Omega. White was the one to remove Omega from the leader role in Bullet Club when he defeated him to win the IWGP United States Championship. Now with Omega trying to build his own version of the faction using the side brand of The Elite, White has been taking aim at him.
However, unless Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson have not played their full hands yet, White came alone. That is until he recruited one of the best up and coming high fliers in wrestling today. At the tapings, Chris Bey met Juice Robinson one on one, and following the match Jay White would make his way to ringside. Bey & White threw up the Too Sweet, and the deal is seemingly done.
Chris Bey Has Already Made His NJPW Debut
This comes after Chris Bey was part of the 2020 Super J-Cup, a tournament won by El Phantasmo. He defeated Clark Connors in his first match, before losing to ACH in the second to knock him out of the tournament. This tournament actually aired on the same day his match for the Impact World Championship against Rich Swann came around, making it the biggest day in his career.
Bey is one of the most impressive high fliers that you will find in the world today, and when he can get to Japan he will be an instant star in the Junior Heavyweight division. This puts him alongside Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori as Junior Heavyweights in Bullet Club, though there is now speculation that Phantasmo could look to move up to the heavyweight ranks soon.
