After winning Survival of the Fittest 2021, Bandido was able to do what many felt was impossible and take the ROH World Championship from RUSH. However, he’s had no time to rest since then, and tonight he teams with Rey Horus to take on Brody King & Chris Dickinson in a huge tag team main event. They are no longer part of a faction together, but Bandido still can call Horus a friend and rely on him in matches like this.
An Instant Fight
After some handshakes from all four men, they would square up and this would become a fight as Horus & Bandido hit some overhand chops. King & Dickinson would quickly fend them off, before King would land a huge backbreaker on Horus before Dickinson hitting a dropkick. Dickinson would roll him up for a two count, before tagging in King to hit a big forearm strike.
Horus was quickly getting isolated, VLNC UNLTD looking to keep the ROH World Champion out of the action. They have kept him down and unable to get momentum, King pushing down on the neck with a crank. Horus would keep trying to fight back, but was in the wrong corner and got beaten right down. Dickinson would take Bandido off the apron, before slamming Horus down for a two count.
Bandido Puts This One Away
Horus would finally be able to break free after King missed a lariat and dropped Dickinson. One tornado DDT later, Bandido was finally able to get in. He’d nail some punches to Dickinson before taking him down with a twisting crossbody. King was taken off the apron with a dropkick, before Bandido press slammed Dickinson onto King.
Horus would tease a dive before Bandido hit the Fosbury Flop, before Bandido set up King & Dickinson for the bodypress from Horus. Back in the ring, Bandido got a two count before working with Horus to nail some rapid strikes before a running Shooting Star Press. King would break the pinfall up, before Dickinson nailed a running Death Valley Driver.
A variation of the Hart Attack would drop Bandido before King moved into a Boston Crab. Dickinson added in a knee drop before grabbing Horus in an STF, but Bandido was able to get the ropes. Bandido would get dropped with a brainbuster, with Horus having to save him. Dickinson would be in position for 21Plex, and Bandido would nail it for the win.
A very fast paced and fun tag team encounter, showing the resilience of the new ROH World Champion. Both he and Horus took a beating in this match, but were able to outlast King & Dickinson to get an impressive win. Match Rating: 2.75/5 (** 3/4)
After the match, RUSH would rush the ring and unmasked Bandido before beating him down with a steel chair. Next weekend at Glory By Honor, RUSH & Dragon Lee take on Bandido & Rey Horus. Can Bandido get revenge for this attack? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
