Since coming back to WWE, Eva Marie has wanted all the spotlight to herself. This is what led her to step into the path of former five-time Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss. However, after falling in with The Fiend, Bliss is a whole other beast. She’s more twisted than ever, but Marie is looking to put an end to that tonight. Doudrop also got on the bad side of Bliss’s evil doll Lilly, which could come into play here tonight.
Alexa Bliss Tears Through Eva Marie In Rapid Fashion, Doudrop Is Done Being Pushed Around
Marie started with a lariat attempt but Bliss dodged. Another charge saw Marie slip the outside, before they finally locked up. Bliss would take her down, and Marie needed a moment. She’d hit a big forearm before shoving Bliss to the mat. She’d pick up Lilly and slap her about, laughing maniacally before slapping Bliss with the doll.
Suddenly, Bliss was unhinged, and would go for a Thesz press before a flipping senton for a two count. Bliss grabbed and groomed Lilly before putting her back on the corner, but not before getting the crowd to cheer. Marie would get tripped into the turnbuckle, before dodging a Twisted Bliss attempt and getting some two counts. Bliss would come back with a DDT and got the win.
After the match, Marie would go to Doudrop for support, but instead we’d see Doudrop grab a microphone and declare Eva Marie a loser. It’s clear their partnership is done, and maybe she can now go back to being Piper Niven!
This match was not good at all. The only good thing about it was that it was short, and Doudrop finally dropped Eva Marie as a partner. Eva Marie shouldn’t be in the ring, let alone on a PPV like Summerslam. Even Doudrop being done with her wasn’t great, with no physical contact made. Easily one of the worst PPV matches of this year.
