At All Out, Ruby Soho entered the AEW Women’s division with a bang, as she won the Casino Battle Royale. This past Wednesday on Dynamite, she was able to outlast and defeat Jamie Hayter, but was the victim of a three on one assault after the bell. Kris Statlander & Riho made the save, and tonight will team with Soho to take on Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter & Rebel.
Chaotic Women’s Trios Action With Ruby Soho & Friends
Riho would start off with Baker, the first AEW Women’s Champion getting the better of the current champion with a dropkick to the face. Statlander would tag in and pick up where she left off at All Out, and Rebel was tagged in as Riho went onto the back of Statlander for some kicks. Hayter was tagged in, and Riho would hit some quick strikes before taking a knee to behind.
Hayter was able to flaunt her power, and Riho would get isolated in the corner. Riho would take a beating through the break, but her spirit wouldn’t be broken. She’d be close to making a tag to Ruby Soho, who would pick up the pace with some strikes to Hayter before tagging out to Statlander. Statlander would take a choke breaker from Hayter, but she’d come back with a double suplex to Hayter & Rebel.
Baker would hit a superkick, but get caught with the Falcon Arrow. Riho would get on the shoulders of Statlander, and Rebel would shield Baker from a double stomp. Rebel was legal in the kick and the Pele Kick from Soho got the win.
Brian Pillman Jr. Shuts Up Max Caster
Brian Pillman Jr. really stepped up on AEW Dynamite, when MJF was trashing his hometown. However, before he gets revenge on MJF at the Arthur Ashe Stadium show – he needs to settle an older issue with the recently returned Max Caster. Caster had been verbally abusing Varsity Blondes & Julia Hart for months, and now he gets his just desserts.
As soon as Pillman Jr. hit the ring with Caster, he’d take him down with some strikes. Caster would take some strikes as a Flyin’ Brian chant would break out. He’d slip to the outside, but take a dropkick through the ropes. Pillman looked to hit the Air Pillman, but Anthony Bowens grabbed his ankle and pulled him down as Caster distracted the referee.
Caster would slow the pace down and hit a snapmare into a knee drop, before just hitting a hard kick to the spine. Pillman got moving before a back elbow to the face, before making a move for the corner and making the comeback. The hometown crowd cheered him on as he hit some running forearm smashes.
Pillman got the ten punches in the corner, before again looking to fly off the top. Bowens was kicked off this time, but Caster would get in the position for a superplex and get fought off. He’d miss the Mic Drop and take Air Pillman, ending this match. After the bell, Jon Moxley would help Pillman fight The Acclaimed off, just two Cincinnati Boys kicking ass in their hometown.
